    A laser derringer.

I thought I would share my work in progress of my laser derringer. I'm just showing the main components, most of the wiring has to be threaded through the assemblies and trimmed, soldered, heatshrinked, etc. Then a run of tests. Ed.

    A laser derringer.

Hello. Thank you for the comment. The switch can be found on EBAY at: 12mm 3V/2A Blue LED angel eye metal push button momentary switch High Head. I hope that helps. Ed.

    A laser derringer.

Hello. I'm going to use a 7.4V 250mAh 20C 5A Li-ion Battery. It worked very well in the preliminary tests. Besides, its the biggest battery I could stuff into the rear of the derringer. Ed.

    A laser derringer.

Hello. This is a picture of my latest ray gun. It's a work in progress, it's machined from 70/76/T6 aluminum, and some brass for contrast. This will be a fully functional device, With sound effects recorded by me (From the laser in "Goldfinger" the James Bond movie.) It has a digital readout...

    Multiple diodes.

Thank you very much for the information. That was what I needed! Ed.

    Multiple diodes.

Hello. I have been trying to get two matching beams to combine through a 1/2" cube beam splitter. But the two beams simply pass through each other with very little deflection. Both are matching Nichia NDB7875 445nm 9mm Laser Diodes. Can some one please show me what it is that I am doing wrong...

    Blue Laser Dual Diode 9mm.

Thank you very much. That will work very well. Ed.

    3 W Driver

Thank you very much for the information. I checked the sites and have them bookmarked. (But I won't bother lazeerer!) Ed.

    Blue Laser Dual Diode 9mm.

Thank you. I tried EBAY and they only had car lights and accessories. Is there an online store that carries them? And could you give me the whole name? Thank you very much. Ed.

    Blue Laser Dual Diode 9mm.

Hello. Could you tell me where I can buy one of your Eagle eye switches? Possibly in blue? Thank you. Ed.

    Multiple diodes.

Hi. I am looking for a countersink cutter that will provide a press-fit for the 9 mm diodes. Do you or someone you know have one for sale? Ed.

    My first attempt.

Hello. Yes it is a M140 diode. The battery is a Tenergy 250mAh 1S 3.7V 25C LiPo Battery It's voltage after a full charge is 3.4v. (I think it is simply under powered.) My next step is a 9 mm diode, and a 2.3 amp X-Drive V6. I will try using two Tenergy 250mAh 1S 3.7V 25C LiPo Batterys to power...

    My first attempt.

Hello. Yes I'm using a 445nm diode and an 2.3 amp X-Drive V6. The heat sink is done with the use of micro-channels to redistribute the heat through the aluminum frame work. I don't have a camera able to do closeups better than the ones shown. But the diode does not seem to be showing any signs...

    My first attempt.

Hello. This is the best I and a friend could manage of beam shots. One shows the beam in a dim room. The other is supposed to show the beam in a close up burning through a piece of tape. The nose is very close to the tape and you can't see the wisp of smoke at all.

    Multiple diodes.

Hello. I think I'll take your advice and use two M140s, But I'll machine a heat sink with micro-flex mounts built into it. I don't mind doing the machining. I like working with very tiny things. Ed.

    3 W Driver

Hello. Does anyone know when the 3A "ADJ" SXB-2 (Super X-Boost) driver will be available again? Ed.

    Multiple diodes.

Hi. I have a very compact prism/lens assembly I intend to use in the next step of project. here is a picture of it. Ed.

    My first attempt.

Thank you. I will try some "beam shots" as soon as I can find a camera that will work for it. Ed.
