A Guide To Buying Your First Green Laser

There really isn't that much difference between 50mW and 30mW. They both do the same things, and the 50mW is just a tad bit brighter. Both beams are very visible at night, and in dimly lit rooms. If you go with anything cheaper, you'll probably just end up with 30mW or less anyway in the end...

Nope, DX doesn't ship to America. I wasn't aware of your location... This one is nice too, and BudgetGadgets ships to the USA. $24 for 30mW, and add $7 for 50mW. $21.66 New Keychain Green Beam Laser Pointer Pen Flashlight 30mW/50mW/100mW - BudgetGadgets.com Here's a great review (thanks...

I don't trust DinoDirect; I've seen way too many things go wrong with those lasers. If you're looking for a decent torch style green laser around that price point, check out this one: $26.85 - 30mW Romisen L-B030 Green Laser with GITD Tail (CR123A) - Green Lasers

A Guide To Buying Your First Green Laser

Yep, go ahead, that's a highly recommended laser. People are getting the advertised outputs and more from theirs. Of course it's still a cheap laser, but it performs really well for the price. Dude, calm down we get it. :D It's supposed to look like a map, that's the whole point haha.

    Rayfoss 150mw pen laser

You just bumped a 15 month old topic, don't do it again. We have a SEARCH tool for a reason: http://laserpointerforums.com/search.php Just search something along the lines of "rayfoss 150mw pen" under Reviews. People have reviewed Rayfoss pen styles before.

    Dissassembling a green laser

Are you sure about this? A good number of high end lasers are just a module screwed into the host. It's the module that you can't take apart, and as far as I know the two parts are legal if shipped separately. I'm not familiar with the RPL so don't quote me on this, but I wouldn't be surprised...

A Guide To Buying Your First Green Laser

I'm thinking you didn't read the guide either. I recommended a couple from BG, true I didn't elaborate but I did recommend them. x2 on that. I would look at something that uses an 18650, unless you need a really small laser.

Do you mean less than? We could recommend you PLENTY of 200mW lasers that cost over $50! Anyways around that price range just forget about getting a laser like that. You could get a cheaper 100mW laser around that price, or a nice 200mW red laser. Greenies just aren't cheap. BTW do a search...

How do you guys handle money online? (while under 18)

I have a money card (USAA I believe) that isn't quite a credit card but works just like one. Basically allowance goes on there and any money I make, and if I get cash I just give it to my parents and they put the money on the card... So it's kind of like an gift card, that you can put more money...

They protect you at least once. Goggles CAN bleach. If you're using powerful enough laser, the goggles may only block a hit in a spot once. Why would you be pointing a laser at your face anyways? That's like smashing a helmet with a hammer to see if it works.

A Guide To Buying Your First Green Laser

The pilot of the plane might not see the beam, and get hit. As long as there is someone constantly watching the sky, it won't be a problem. Just remember that you can get in serious trouble if it hits a plane and it's your fault. 100% duty cycle means you can keep it on as long as you like...

    New Focalprice lasers

If I had to guess, they probably just screwed up a translation of the DPSS process. 808nm-1064nm-532nm I don't think I've ever heard of a green laser leaking 1064.

A Guide To Buying Your First Green Laser

I think your best option is getting a 5mW for pointing, and use the powerful laser for stargazing. This way you won't even need goggles. :) As JaiNobeZ said, goggles are necessary for burning, but you're not going to be burning anything with 50mW.

Teacher pointed a laser at my friend's eye! Is he going to be ok!?

He didn't say the student that brought it in was his friend. I like this. :)

Teacher pointed a laser at my friend's eye! Is he going to be ok!?

If your friend can't even tell if there's damage or not, why see a doctor? It's not going to get worse; he's fine. But yeah, definitely get the teacher reported. This is serious stuff...
