I get a loud snapping sound with my 3W SAIK when focus the beam on a cereal box by tapping the switch real quick for a short pulse. Also makes smoke rings:D
That wasn't directed at you. Sig said my board wouldn't self start. I never had any issues with the coil, it's been running on the same components for 2 years now.
As for the emails. I stopped checking that email address because my account was hacked and 99.9% of the emails I get are spam. As...
What are the stripes down the circumference?
If they are cooling fins this will only work if the heatsink is protruding from the front of the host as you need air circulation to take heat away.
If the heatsink is completely inside the host only the mass of the heatsink is used to take heat...
That's why you use calipers to measure the space in the host where the heatsink would go. That's how others make heatsinks for different hosts.
Edit: YouTube "how to use vernier calipers"
Just the phisical size changes. Buck or boost driver is determind by the batteries and diode used.
So with a 445nm diode you would use a single LiPo battery with a boost driver and if you use 2x LiPo cells in series you would use a buck driver.
Yes the "Pill" is the part that holds the driver/battery contact board.
That host is the popular Aurora C6.
Look in the Buy/Sell section and you can probably find a JAD kit - "Just Add Diode"
This site is a good place to find diodes, modules and drivers...
