Any experience with meierlight.net or DHOM?

If you buy it from meierlight, please tell us about the quality. I need to buy a 300mW 532nm soon, and it would be great to save $220.

$220 more expensive than what power laser from what supplier?

Any experience with meierlight.net or DHOM?

Ultralasers, Inc is a good source for DHOM lasers in China. Connecticut Lasers | Laser Light Shows and Laser Light Show Equipment and Installations is also a good source in the US. The price is higher, but the customer service is too. However, I have also been told the customer service of...

My first scanner build - Work in progress

Remember that to combine two 445nm beams AND correct their beam profile, you will either need 1 wave plate + 1 PBS, or 2 sets of corrective optics + 1 PBS. I suggest using a waveplate as there will likely be less losses.

    A Few Good Sleds...

    Hey Glenn, I'll buy 4 x LPC-815

    Sold

Re: My 445 for sale!!! I agree don't keep changing the price so quickly. Not everyone checks the forums every day. Wait a couple days, then lower the price. Depending on how well you built it, $200 is a very reasonable price.

What is your claim to Fame?

My great uncle's wife's sister's husband??? is Donald Bitzer (Donald Bitzer - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) who co-invented the Plasma TV among other things. I have to fend off interviews from the press everyday. I feel so special. </sarcasm> :p

    WTB: LPC-815 Sleds

I believe modwerx and stonetek both sell sleds and individual diodes. There are many other stores too, but those are the ones off the top of my head.

Re: My black friday build If you have the time you might want to consider selling hosts like these because I know that I, and probably many others here would want to buy one! :)

    Diodes and Modules for sale

Does the blue electrical insulation prevent the aixiz modules from moving? In other words, can you take the aixiz modules in and out?

    Diodes and Modules for sale

If you are willing to sell just two aluminum blocks with AixiZ modules in them (but no diodes), let me know! Also, how many hours are on the 660nm diodes in the aluminum blocks?

    Soldering Iron

This is what I have and has worked great for the past 2 or 3 years: LED DISPLAY DIGITAL SOLDER STATION ZD-929C-MPJA, Inc. It's cheap ($45) and I think most people don't need anything more than that. I think one a digital one is the way to go because it allows you to see what temp it's currently...

For those that have a high powered 405 and 445 which do you Prefer

The $60 diodes I was talking about are from the 12x burner drives: sf-bw512l I think there's still a GB going on, but if not they are usually available from other places and members. 600mW would be fine from these diodes. I think some people have even pushed theirs to 900-1000mW, but I'm not...

For those that have a high powered 405 and 445 which do you Prefer

It depends what you want to do with them. In terms of the 'cool' factor, most people haven't seen violet or blue-violet lasers and will be impressed by both. However 445nm is obviously much more visible, especially since most people have a hard time focusing their eyes on 405nm. If all you...

    Driver Heatsink Adhesive

Arctic alumina is better for heatsinking drivers in lasers because it is non-conductive and non-capacitive where as arctic silver adhesive is capacitive.
