woop you are posting schematics to the tps61200. but in that last link in your 3-link post, its a schematic with the 01 not the 00. which is for non adjustable fixed constant voltage. just makin sure this goes smooth, dont want you ordering the wrong parts. good luck, and search around this...

take a block of aluminum and use a lathe to round it. then bore out a hole the size of your module. then drill a screw set hole in the side for holding the aixiz module. id reccomend waiting until you have it all ready to go in the flashlight, so that you get the measurements. good luck :D

I think even if we found a DC DC converter with everything we needed, low Vin Min, >600mA, buck-boost, current regulation through iLED or Ilim, and all that, it would still be just as easy to use the tps chip.
