i've been secretly in love with nixie tubes ever since playing final fantasy 7. they used them as timers and clocks through out the game. and i never knew they existed untill i found this site which gave me the name of them ;D

my 5mw dx greenie outputs more than 5mw i'm pretty sure... maybe 15 to 20... but its horrible quality. for 20 dollars it can be a deal... for those who can only afford that ;D this is a nice list though for those that don't want to take the risk with a dx laser

i have nothing to go by for comparison, but the glass aixiz on my dilda makes a very nice beam that can be focused down to a couple inches away to very far... not sure how far tho but good enough lol

my "new wish" 5mw greenie does an unusual thing on startup, regarding beam shape. un focused(no front lens) it will make a fuzzy bean shaped spot and move, as if organically, in an odd movement, while not varying far from a bean ish shape. i'll have to get a vid of that... i guess it can be...

i'm sure with enough lenses you could get the sun's beam kinda in a line... speaking of which i really want to get a fresnel lens... maybe they will be cheap in winter cause theres not much sun haha. those things are effing scary btw turning cinder blocks glowing orange... :o
