GB: 473nm diode information / giveaway

Re: GB: 473nm diode murder fund Well just be careful because there is a very short tolerance in mW vs Currant where threshold is and at 20mW. Use a driver.:) Because most Variable power supplier increase in 5mA and thats to much.:) I wont spoil the fun. I know your more then capable of...

GB: 473nm diode information / giveaway

Re: GB: 473nm diode murder fund WOW I really need to start posting more.:p Well i can tell you guys your not missing out much on the 473 diodes. Ive already tested one of those some time ago and still have a brand new one to.:) I would not murder one. There is No point. (I beg you guys not to...

why no 2.2A 16.8mm round driver

I missed this thread.:p Someone linked me to it just now as ive been doing a custom round version for them but iam glad they did because for the passed month Plus Ive been getting requests over and over probebly at least 50 diffrent requests for me to bring back the Round X-Drives. There was a...

Testing of the New 650nm/660nm 5W Diode.!

People are confusing what they can afford to what the value of the diode is. Thats the issue . No doubt $425 is hard to "Afford" I for sure understand that. But the diode is a killer deal and well priced. Most are making is sound that the diode is over priced. Which is far from...

Testing of the New 650nm/660nm 5W Diode.!

Yeah to bad sevral people dont see that. Well 3.8A will get you ~3W... Which is just sick IMO.:eg::bowdown:

Testing of the New 650nm/660nm 5W Diode.!

You need a Case Continuous + driver. Or you must insulate the diode from the case Which is not hard to do. Rather then using 2 drivers i would use 1 X-Drive since they can do 3A. But to use an X-Drive you must insulate the diode from the case like i mentioned.:)

Testing of the New 650nm/660nm 5W Diode.!

It really all depends. Probably your most Average build would go for ~$700 with a decent priced host. Awesome.

2.1W "Evil Shadow" 650nm C-Mount Diode build Handheld

Oh I see.:) Maybe you might of missed it in the other thread but "Iam" the one supplying these diodes. Being that you know me pretty good over the years i can assure you now that the price will Never drop Or will you see great power diodes then these any time soon if ever . Once you save...

2.1W "Evil Shadow" 650nm C-Mount Diode build Handheld

Thats what i used.:) Though i would make sure to test it if your not getting one that was made by a forum member. I just dont trust china reflow work.... But RHD said AMC drivers where fine IIRC. Though he said that only at 1.2A. I dont know if it changes with higher currant. But my build is...

2.1W "Evil Shadow" 650nm C-Mount Diode build Handheld

Hey Jay, -Well i "Used" the lens from an A140 projector from the link you show for just messing around and it worked pretty good but the Lenses i actually use in the builds is this: Thorlabs - LA1213-A N-BK7 Plano-Convex Lens, Ø1/2", f = 50.0 mm, AR Coating: 350-700 nm ^^^Its more practical...

Testing of the New 650nm/660nm 5W Diode.!

Want to read my rant's about it.:p I flipped a shit. It was the first package i ever lost and it had to be something that was 300$.LOL I dont care for the money but the simple fact that the post man that did my route that day was his first day on the streets and he said he delivered it. Which...

Testing of the New 650nm/660nm 5W Diode.!

I think you might of missed this. http://laserpointerforums.com/f42/2-1w-evil-shadow-650nm-c-mount-diode-build-handheld-83267.html#post1201538 ^That laser is actually doing 3.2W now at 4A after the lens. It is very easy to machine a C-Mount setup. There is other option then to wait for...

    The "SXB-2" (Super X-Boost) 3A+ Boost Drive for 9mm 445nm diodes

In the Online world you normal give someone 24-48 hours to respond. I respond to ORF pm in 15 hours I responded to Kranznboy PM in 10 hours. :p @ ORF. The driver for sure was Not a Short. I had a total of 9 SXB. I pre-wired ALL of them so i can test them before shipping as i do with all my...
