You could just drill a 12mm hole and use some thermal compound, but what would be better is if you do smaller hole and use a reamer to get it just under 12mm then you could press-fit. It'd be best to drill through the thick bottom plate of the heatsink, but if you have to drill holes through...

That's an awesome looking supply, think it should work, just don't go past 8.4v, so maybe stick it around 8v. Don't know what you should do with the current setting :/ could just set it to 1.5a and hope for the best. Think that would work since the driver handles current. Never tried something...

You said it was a buck in some other thread, I'd say 4-5 aaa's aa's. Don't leave it on too long either cos lasers don't like heat. Also be really careful of where its pointing, one reflection off a glossy wall and your vision is toast.

You can build your own, but really high power 532's are not on the easy to build list. I've built a 445, 532 and had the parts for a 635 (killed it D:) I live where anything over 1mW is classified as a weapon, so I still think you guys in the US have it easy. :p

When I use my eagle pair I still get a pretty bright dot, but the dot is yellow and can see no blue at all, end up getting eyestrain pretty quickly :/

Charging 2 cells at once can be dangerous if they are unbalanced, and if your batts are 300mah you should really look into getting some better ones. But if nothing gets too hot or catches fire, should be all good :D

I really doubt it, they are the generic 445's fresh out of a sweatshop in china, they will work, but will likely be underspec and low quality. Fasttech is a great site IMO, but for laser pointers its best you take your money elsewhere if you want to buy one.

You need to choose batteries based on what kind of driver you have. Basically there are 2 kinds of drivers, buck drivers and boost drivers, buck drivers run on 2 cells and boost drivers run on 1, so check what driver you got, if its rated for around 8.4v its a buck driver.
