Filling laser optics with nitrogen gas

Hi, thanks for your response! I can easily assemble it while in the bag. The laser is small. I have taken it apart and made clear there is no dust inside the bag, and have put it in there among with a silica gel package. How long do you think i have to leave it in there? Also, i removed most of...

Filling laser optics with nitrogen gas

Hi, thanks for your answer. Nitrogen gas is dry, it is non hygroscopic. It couldn't absorb moisture. Do you know a way to get dry air at home? I did some research about desiccant, my idea would be to leave the laser in a ziplock bag with desiccant packages and the lens open for a day or a week...

Filling laser optics with nitrogen gas

Hi thanks for your reply. The desiccant wouldn't work if you mean to put it inside the lenses. The space inside the optics is less then a mm. Maybe i misunderstood something

Filling laser optics with nitrogen gas

Btw the country i live in has very humid air, thats the only drawback for me having a sealed unit

Filling laser optics with nitrogen gas

I want to fill my laser optics with nitrogen gas. The reason is, my lasers are watertight including the lenses, the entire cavity is sealed, even around the diode. But i have a major problem As soon as i put it in the car and turn the Anti fog and heater on, it condenses like crazy inside the...

PHR- 803T 405nm stainless steel pen build

Hi, thanks. No problem! I enjoyed building this laser. It took a long time, since end october. But time pay's. It looks awesome. Definitely something unique. Especially with the materials used! I hope you would enjoy this laser:)

    Hi, thanks!

PHR- 803T 405nm stainless steel pen build

The aluminum tailcap ring. I grinded it, filed it to size and polished it up. I pressed this in the tailcap slightly and sealed it off. The tailcap push rubber fits tight inside the hole whereas it would seal. No water can go trough this. It looks awesome.

PHR- 803T 405nm stainless steel pen build

Machining the host on the lathe. It tuned out great. Austenitic stainless steel, non magnetic version

PHR- 803T 405nm stainless steel pen build

This is the electronics. Note, i had to jump the spring to the positive lane in order to make it case negative. I also used insulation tape to make the PCB sit tight in there so it wouldn't move around at all. Later i added hot glue to the diode pins and module to make it stronger and seal it...

PHR- 803T 405nm stainless steel pen build

I made a new laser, this one is for BobMC, i hope he will enjoy it! Its a stainless steel pen laser with a phr-803T diode in there set at 100mA. It is powerful enough to ignite fireworks fuse trough coated double pane glass and a car window. The fluorescence is bright and i could see the beam at...

    520nm diode driver

Hi, thanks for your help. I tested it and it unfortunately didn't go higher then 6 this driver could push 250/300mA. Would it be possible for me to install a M140 diode and underpower it? I don't need 1W. Something like 100 or 250 mW would be awesome

    520nm diode driver

hi, thanks for your reply. The 6.1v output was without load. It is a constant current driver. Do you think the voltage will rise when a 520nm diode load has been detected? It is not fixed voltage tough. This driver can handle power without load so i decided to test voltage without load. Anyway...

    520nm diode driver

Yea that would be awesome. If it isn't possible i will leave it the way it is. Maybe upgrading to a higher power diode but sure i won't change that embedded driver

    520nm diode driver

Hi, i was thinking of replacing the diode of my laser. I got a 405nm laser. I made it watertight, but at the same time, easy to swap diodes if it dies. But i want to get a 50mW PL520 osram diode. Now, the driver board and BMS controll circuit is something hard to replace in this laser and...

Hi, thanks! I will definitely keep making more!

50mw stainless steel 405 pen laser build

Yea i know, it looks great. Got it done in 3.5 hours from a big chunk of stainless steel. It would definitely pop you some balloons with a phr-805t Hosts weights 27 grams so i could already asure you its going to be a tank

Hi, i'm done machining your custom host, PM me Also, the last picture is how your laser will look like Second last, mine laser compared to your host, Last, how your laser will look like. Host is 92mm x14mm in diameter
