This is a FACT. There is a REASON that <5mw lasers are classed as 'safe' by the FDA. A laser 5mw or less WILL NOT do permanent damage to your eye IN THE TIME IT TAKES TO BLINK AND TURN AWAY. A <5mw laser IS NOT SAFE to look directly into deliberately, whereas 0.385mw is the maximum for this.

^^ about above post I'm not sure what the hell the point of that circuit is, really. But hey, neat proof of concept. Perhaps it could be altered to make a throwie that recharges itself via the LED in daytime? XD if only.

Yeah that'd be nice. And things, no serial communications form uses only 1 wire. Some investigations reveal that it is not as simple as data, ground and shield. I thought so. There is a Data +, Data - and ground. 5 pin systems can carry Data 1 + Data 1 - and Data 2 + and -. so you can have 1024...

Re: funiest/stupidest thing youve done with your l I chased off a mob of ~20 massive year 12s at school, with water balloons containing oil, paint, flour, etc... all with my DX 30. All I had to do was shine it on the ground in front of them and they were outta there. XD

What you could do: Set up a spare box at home (I know you have one) as a server and dump a backup copy of LPF on it. Then try using the mod on that.

And an IR filter won't make the desired colour (green or blue) any stronger.

Does the kit even HAVE dmx? If it does, but no plug, it's just a simple matter of soldering a couple connectors to a 3 pin XLR socket. Simple stuff.

Wow... I was expecting this to be more about complex 3D rendering rather than simple CAD stuff. I dabble a bit in 3D with a program called POVRay. (Persistance Of Vision Raytracer) It's great stuff, but not for beginners, as models are designed in code, not in a 3D environment.
