That's what I was thinking! Pretty sweet. Divergence I'm not sure yet. My weekend is slammed havent had time to test anything else yet.

This is the latest laser I just built, tickle me impressed. This is at 5 Amps, only has a 3-element on, and crappy batteries. Can't wait to test it with better batteries and lens!

Pretty neat! Throw a G8 lens on it you won't be disappointed.

Yeah this is awesome, it will be nice to move away from lithium and the slave labor to mine it. Cobalt too hopefully someday.

Must be flat tops, get a small circle magnet those work great for this instance.

I'm not sure about that mount for the lens, but I would try a blue AR coated 3 element lens for the best beam divergence. You need to somehow mount it so it can be screwed in and out to get close to the diode. Not sure if that len mount will work for that or not.

Do you have a breadboard to plug everything into and test different resistors with a test load and dmm? I would just answer you but I don't know for sure what the value of the resistor would have to be

What exactly are you looking for? An old one to work on and reverse engineer to learn? Or something cheaper for financial reasons? What wavelength, and/or power amount?
