Laserbuilder's collection of gas and other lasers

    21) The last potentially operational laser in my collection at the moment. This is a true Jomolungma of my laser collection. The laser that does not have any analogues between commercially produced lasers neither in the USSR nor in the world at all. A true "big scary laser", "Deathstar Laser...

Laserbuilder's collection of gas and other lasers

Moreover, they draw 40-50 kW from the wallplug if it as an argon one. I'd like to SHG one of my YAG lasers, especially a 120W one and get at least 30-50W of green, like in Laserscope KTP532. Also I've got an offer on a 30W CVL tube, for 250$, but it will be a real trouble to get it running. A...

    20) LOS-4M High Energy Dye Laser A very good example of a flaslamp pumped dye laser. It is very similar to a regular solid state one with the only difference -- instead the ruby\YAG\glass rod there is a glass hollow cuvette in which a dye solution flows. The cuvette is sorrounded with the...

    19) Coherent CR599 Dye Laser. This is one of the most famous tunable dye lasers, which can work both in CW and pulsed mode. It can be tuned in the range from 250 nm to 1400 nm depending on the optics set and used dye solution. The power can be up to 4W CW with R6G dye and with 20W Argon ion...

K301V 125W CW Nd:YAG pumping chamber for sale

Hello! I would like to offer this K301V YAG pumping chamber for sale. It has a 6.3*100 mm YAG rod and a DNP-6/90 CW crypton arc lamp, with the dimensions of the arc part 6*90 mm correspondantly. Maximum power output can be 125W on 1064 nm or 30W on 1.32 um, the lamp draws about 4-4.5 kW max...

561nm Yellow YAG (?) from Lumenis Varia Eye Laser

Thank you for running this thread, I've read it with big interest. High power yellow lasers are really very rare, and I am looking forward to seeing how it will work when you make it running. By the way, the laser lab of our Ophthalmic Research Institute has a 2.2W 578 nm Coherent DPSS laser...

    18) My homebuilt ruby laser. This is a laser built in a junk style, I estimate it output energy in 2 J with 2.7 kJ pumped in with the current power unit. All information about this project is here: http://laserpointerforums.com/f50/laserbuilder-s-homebuilt-ruby-laser-99986.html

Laserbuilder's collection of gas and other lasers

    17) Big laser ruby. Though this is not a laser, but a laser component, it is worth showing here. This is a NOS laser ruby which is possibly designed for a laser amplifier. It has dimensions 16*300 mm, when the active part is 240 mm long. The ends are cut under Brewster angles. Compared with...

    Laserbuilder's homebuilt ruby laser

Okay, let's return to lasers)))) I could not leve that horrible power unit in that awful state. So I packed it into a neat case and added a safety interlock which shuts down the unit when top cover opened. Also, when it is shut down -- a normally closed vacuum relay (red rubber thing in the...

Laserbuilder's collection of gas and other lasers

    16) Custom built YAG laser with K301A pumping chamber. 20W multimode CW output on 1064 nm. This is my small side-project with the K301A YAG pumping chamber. I've built it before getting LTI-501 lasers and this became my first operational YAG laser. The power supply for the lamp I've built in...

    Laserbuilder's homebuilt ruby laser

I don't like political discussions in this thread, but I'll answer your question. WARNING: I will be very politically incorrect in the following text Ukraine now participates in the war. War for its financial and ideological independence from Russia. Ukraine doesn't want any russian influence...

I would like to say VERY SPECIAL THANKS to our colleague, to a TRUE laser hobbiist, JARROD KINSEY. I am vey grateful to him for his fascinating web site http://www.jarrodkinsey.org/ where he shares his outstanding laser projects. It is he who gave me inspiration to build this ruby laser and...

    15) g-OI-8 (LTI-501) Continious Wave Nd:YAG laser and interchangeable K301 pumping chambers for it. I'vo got three of these lasers:D:D And one of them is NOS in its factory crate. This laser model is only one among a big line of lasers made of unified components in the unified cast aluminium...

    Laserbuilder's homebuilt ruby laser

This is due to economical situation in our country. It is very bad, and Science in Ukraine died first, because it doesn't recieve any financing from both government and private investors. It has a whole chain of consiquences -- without any financing, people that are smart enough travel abroad...

    Laserbuilder's homebuilt ruby laser

I didn't really try to do this. It is very tricky to place them in the focus without good mounts, but it did penetrate at least two of them from a single shot, so the output energy can be lower than I expect.

    Laserbuilder's homebuilt ruby laser

I have been thinking for a long time about improving the efficiency of my laser, when decided to shoot it into black rubber. I saw a burn, which consisted of two close spots... Very interesting. It looked like it was lasing in a TEM10 single mode... I decided to replace the full reflection...
