Direct Diode Lasers in Various Colors in 2 different Power Levels

I wonder if there is interest in getting Lasers in various Colors in the fairly inexpensive Wavelengths ? Nichia makes a lot of Blues and of course we have Osram 515nm and there is a Japanese 635nm which is fairly inexpensive. We may be able to set up a Group Buy where there is a number of...

review 488nm 5mW Novalux Protera DPSS Laboratory Unit

That wavelength is beautiful. It looks like a Mini Blue Star. Is the beam visible at only 5 milliwatts ? I think I would like to have various Colors of 5 milliwatt no goggles Lasers which have visible beams...and hoping the exotic color Direct Diodes come down in price. I may start with a...

    470/473 diode and DPSS...

Thanks. I noticed at least one 520nm Diode that has an " eliptical beam " which probably won't work well for a visible night beam at 5 milliwatts -right ? So IF I decide to get someone ( like Lazerer) to make a 5 mw Green in a nice Host ..would I be better off with the Osram Diode ? I can get...

    New SUPERBRIGHT Direct Diode Laser

True. It would be pretty amazing to see [ maybe a Video or with some EEALLY good Goggles] 4 kilowatts of one Wavelength... Too bad they don't have beamshots...

    New SUPERBRIGHT Direct Diode Laser

How bright is it ? Bright enough to cut through 1/2 Inch of steel. And it will even pop light colored balloons, I assume. The first direct-diode laser bright enough to cut and weld metal It is 4 kilowatts ..so make sure you get really good goggles when this comes out in a...

    470/473 diode and DPSS...

Will a 532 nm green be a tighter beam than an Osram 515nm ? Thus 532 nm more visible at low 5mw power than the Osram 515nm at 5 mw ? DPSS has more concentrated beam ?

Just ordered my first 473nm DPSS from Jetlasers

Does your 473nm 5 mw have a visible beam at night ? I assume a true 5mw 515nm or 520nm would be visible beam ...right ?

Just ordered my first 473nm DPSS from Jetlasers

I think I would like the 473nm and the 520nm a lot for my first lasers. I want no goggles lasers which means 5 milliwatts and IR Filter. Do you think with adjustable focus a 473nm will have a visible night beam ? I am quite sure the 520 nm will since these are used in Astronomy Pointers. I...

    1mw 460nm laser pointer

Thanks Atomicrox. I agree on the overpriced part for sure. Compared to the Laserglow Galileo they are equally overpriced and I suspect a bit better with less divergence (wild guess) . The idea of the low power is safe without goggles..I can trust that they will not be overpowered. Also if...

    1mw 460nm laser pointer

Thanks. Here is the technical specs . They actually specify a 2 mile range and visible beam on the Blue. Both greens ..the 515nm which is also specified as wide temperature range are specified as 5 mile range visible beam at night. The Red is specified as dot only. They are all constant...

    1mw 460nm laser pointer

They use a transistor to create the beam rather than DPSS.. They make some ruggedized versions which use Lion Batteries and have a Red, Blue , Green 532 , and a wide temperature range 515nm which might be really cool. The Blue is around 450nm but Z-Bolt claims visible beam at night on the Blue...

    Help

I am looking for a low wattage visible beam under 5 milliwatt no goggles needed and I noticed these : Sapphire Galaxy - Extreme Duty Blue Laser and they also have a 532nm green AND a 515nm green . They are using transistor technology rather than the other technique . Why is this better...

    1mw 460nm laser pointer

Nice color...but only 1 milliwatt. I noticed this company has about 4 or 5 different Lasers each in 4 or 5 different versions at less than 5 milliwatt with IR Filters .. Premium Blue Laser Pointer - Sapphire Series They have a few cheaper Blues with different Hosts etc. And a 515nm Green...

    Besram 510nm Pointer for ~14.00

If we can do a group buy ...I agree with the less than 10 milliwatt range. I am thinking of having Laserglow do a Galileo Green at 10 milliwatts with an IR filter and seems like 10 milliwatts is still relatively safe but with a visible night beam up to 1000 yards or so. So ...a 510 light...

18650 Rechargeable Lasers Rated at 5 milliwatts(?)

I am thinking of getting a 5 to 10 milliwatt Laser in Green to have visible beam and would like a 18650 because my regular LEDs use them. But it occurs to me that many Chinese Manufacturers are slapping the 5 milliwatt label on there ...but is it unlikely that a focus laser using 18650 would be...

Green Laser Recommendation (rugged, lightweight, Waterproof, daylight visible)

Ash- if the OP got a measured verified 10 mw green, wouldn't that be the best of all worlds in that the dot would be visible in the daytime but not be particularly dangerous as a reflection (unless a mirror or glass) ? Also if it was a focusable laser and the beam was set to diverge a bit-...

<5mW Green Laser for Humpback Whale Research

Whales are so cute when they chase the dot on the surface of the Ocean.... WARNING : Never play "laser tag " with Whales within 1060 feet of Ocean Liners, Fishing Vessels, etc.
