Crap one of my diodes is starting to do that, and I'm using aixiz 405 glass, and have been the whole time... What else could have caused this?

@Jayrob, I see the exact same thing when I compare my 800mw to my 500mw. The 800 not only seems much brighter, but alot bluer. When viewing side by side the 500mw almost looks violet.

Hmm that one doesn't seem to be as efficient as some of the other A140 diodes. Still gonna be an awesome laser. I love that kit your putting it in.

I'm not familiar with 14500s. If it Strobes when you turn it on you can just turn down the current. I think you could have a slightly longer duty cycle. My 445 set to 875ma can run for about 30, or 40 seconds before you can start to feel any heat.

I did a research paper on stem cells last year. It also has the possibility of helping with macular degeneration. That's good considering our new blue lasers can cause that to happen prematurely.

There's not that big of a difference, but I'd say the shooting glasses are a little worse. I did have the beam on them longer though to see if any light would make it through.

Alright, I just tried it again. This time I used 500mw instead of 780mw, so it wouldn't melt the plastic as fast. The glasses were ~6in away from the sensor this time. I had basically the exact same results. Nothing over 5mw came through with the yellow glasses, and a steady 6-7mw came through...
