Need help with choosing red diode

Not sure what you mean by spacers. If you use the module from DTR with a flexdrive, it should be as clean as you can make it. You can get flexdrives here.

Need help with choosing red diode

A flexdrive or a linear driver. The flexdrive is easier to find, unless you want to make an AMC7135 based driver. I did a build with the $21 650nm diode and a 375mA linear driver in a c6 with black anodized heatsink. There's a link in my sig.

Review: Vintage all-copper Rayovac builds #3 and #4

That is cool. Those antique lights look awesome, and made into a laser... That should definitely have an awesome duty cycle.

    The Adegan Relic - 5.5W

The force is strong with this one... Very nice saber you got!

Why are specific laser color/wavelength easier?

Projectors drive alot of it. Green diodes exist because projector companies wanted a more stable green than DPSS could provide. They're also why blues got into the 1W+ range.

What kind of laser do you like ?

    The kind that lase.

    New Host from Sinner

Those do look sweet. Great job to the both of you. That 462nm should be quite happy in there!

    NDB7675 "Chunk" and M462 Cypreus-II builds

Thanks man! The Cypreus-II is definitely one of my favorite hosts. Love the duty cycle on it. I've noticed a slight difference between the m140 and 9mm 445s too. I wish I could get a good pic of these two next to a 445nm. They each look distinct when side by side. And yes, these were not...

    NDB7675 "Chunk" and M462 Cypreus-II builds

Ok guys, I switched to photobucket, so it should finally be good. Sorry it took so long. It didn't help that I lost power yesterday and could do anything...

Ok, let's see if they stick around this time.

    a box of disappointment

Those cheap generic chargers don't have any safety feature. I've seen claims of batteries exploding in them. They can easily over charge your battery, then it blows when you go to use it.

    Woah, it's been a while!

There was also a 589nm craze recently due to Dragon lasers 50mW spartan.

    NDB7675 "Chunk" and M462 Cypreus-II builds

I haven't taken any official measurement, but from cold it feels just barely warm. I've been meaning to use an ir thermometer to measure it. Oh, and thanks!

    NDB7675 "Chunk" and M462 Cypreus-II builds

Ok, I got them back, and their full size this time. Apparently, the original link had a 400 second time limit, so now they should stay.
