    RF660-200mW-FBT Review

It's not the threads, it's the o-ring. If you take off the o ring, the laser focuses REALLY smooth and easy. I just put some lubricant on the o ring, it works ALOT better:)

    RF660-200mW-FBT Review

Actually, I've noticed that too. But i figured it was just mine, so I figured I shouldn't mention it, and put somebody off on the laser, because it really is nice. But I've realized that's a no-no, haha:p also, the lens is hard to clean. but the white part is just plastic that's a tad thicker...

    red multimode diode fixed?

okay, thanks proto:) i took off the cap, and saw the stripes, and was like whaaa? 445 has stripes too! and it got me kinda excited that maybe id found something useful. haha but thanks=p

    red multimode diode fixed?

hey everyone. is this diode multimode?...it has a bar-like output(the camera messed it up a little.) and it has stripes on the sides. but when you replace the cap, it is round. the camera makes the raw output look strange, but it is pretty bar-like. could this be a possible fix for 445nm...

    RF660-200mW-FBT Review

lights red tipped matches in an instant, burns incredibly well. ive dropped it multiple times, and no problems. faona tested mine, and she says its 215mW. im not sure if its true, but i trust her. its my favorite laser:)

New To The World of lasers

You cannot build a laser with tape and glue. I'm sorry to say, but the fact that you don't liketo read will get you nowhere here. You HAVE to read. T_Js post is a great place to start. Lasers in your price range and experience level *will NOT* slice matchsticks. You have to get pretty high in...

Does anyone even care about 473nm anymore?

Sorry, probably should have said brighter beam:) if you have a 445nm laser and a 473nm laser at the same power, the 473 will appear brighter to the human eye, because it's closer to the middle of the visible spectrum. So, the beam would be better:) edit: oops, didn't see your rep power, you...

    RF660-200mW-FBT???/RF660-200mW-FPT???

You won't regret it, it's great. I've dropped mine a ridiculous amount of times, it hasn't broken. It's really durable. And really waterproof!

    RF660-200mW-FBT???/RF660-200mW-FPT???

I've had it quite some time now, and to be honest, I haven't run it dead yet. I tend to charge my batteries every so often before they die, instead of when they die. I've heard it's bad, but oh well. Get this laser, it's the best for the price. As to megalaseruk, they're overpriced, low...

    RF660-200mW-FBT???/RF660-200mW-FPT???

Ive left mine on>10 mins and had no signs of heating up, the laser felt cool to the touch. And these two are EXACTLY THE SAME. Same battery. The cr2 is a typo.

    RF660-200mW-FBT???/RF660-200mW-FPT???

Theyre the same, I promise. FBT is black, FPT is purple, I had the same question, and I asked faona(owner of rayfoss), she said the only difference was color.

Does anyone even care about 473nm anymore?

i agree. plus, 473 is more turqiouse, therefore closer to green, therefore better beam:) people want what they cant have. i have an arctic on the way(i hope. hehe..:p), but id still love to have a 473, just because its more exotic, and expensive.

    RF660-200mW-FBT???/RF660-200mW-FPT???

they are precisely the same, the cr2/cr123 is a typo.:) one's black, ones purple. i have the fbt, its fantastic^^ theres some scatter on the lense, though, but maybe its just mine.

5mW keychain red laser has no diode?

    visit stonetek, they have em.

You might be a laser nut if. . .

You might be a laser nut if you had to build a laser real fast out of spare parts just to give you something to play with waiting for your arctic:p

    O-like is stocking 445nm

i emailed rayfoss, and told faona wicked is making a killing on these things. i asked if they had plans to make any anytime soon, will post her reply here.

You might be a laser nut if. . .

You fire up your laser and walk to the other end of the room to see the beam, though you've done it a billion times. You time how fast your laser cam light a match with a stopwatch you point every laser pointer you own at your skin to see if it burns you ruin an expensive wallet by burning...

First build:) success! PHR photos soon.

I connected it in series, the LED is red. It is a 3v rated LED. But I used a resistor from an LED indicator from radioshack, and it seems to work fine:)
