    Dam I'm just going to call it 100mw until I get a LPM, and yes its my first 660nm unless you count the 1mw HeNe, I'm not to fussed about it because its mostly made from parts just lying around, and Thank you I just found the "Where to get laser components" link in your signature very helpful!

    Thanks. The diode just came out of my laptop it looks like this one , im going to run it with a 350ma AMC driver, and a glass 3 element lens, for the host i will use this host, its nothing special and it will probably be more like 200-300mw.

    Haha thanks everyone. I was thinking the same thing but I want to keep mine how it is, if I didn't order the parts for a 3W 445nm, I probably would have bought another HeNe from ebay I have seen some Spectra Physics 155's for around £50/$84.
