[ALL SHIPPED!!!] GB: 9$ O-like's "G2" Lenses CLOSED!!!

Re: GB: 9$ O-like's "G2" Lenses CLOSED!!! Wow, that does sound like a lot of work. I couldn't even do anything I liked that many times in a row. Well, at least, not that fast. Thanks for weeding out the rotten eggs. Please let us know if they don't get exchanged cost free to you.

LOL. Thanks for all the responses and hard work. Those of us that ordered less (me) benefited the most from your efforts. Much appreciated.

    CLOSED: Projector - $55 9mm 445nm diodes (0 remaining)

Oh man Commandr, that table and stuff looks like fun, fun, fun. I can't imagine what that table weighs. Looks like 1/2" (maybe more?) steel there with the hole grid.

    CLOSED: Projector - $55 9mm 445nm diodes (0 remaining)

I'm going to build a heat sink out of copper and aluminum that the diode will press directly into (no module). Also want to fabricate a sliding focusing mechanism for the lens. Haven't decided on a host or driver yet.

Re: GB: 9$ O-like's "G2" Lenses CLOSED!!! PP sent. Rounded up to an even $20. I tried to edit spreadsheet, but my version of Firefox isn't supported. Sorry, don't have the time to upgrade my browser right now. Thanks again for hosting this GB.

[ALL SHIPPED!!!] GB: 9$ O-like's "G2" Lenses CLOSED!!!

Re: GB: 9$ O-like's "G2" Lenses CLOSED!!! I would think soliciting PP Gift would be something that could get you banned. You can''t control how folks decide to pay you. Also, the financial transaction between us and you should be private and not visible to LPF. Who do I send my shipping...

Re: GB: 9$ "J2" Lenses CLOSED!!! I concur with moving forward on the J2's. 66 has had enough of an opportunity to respond. Everyone was aware time was of the essence. Thank you Jim for your efforts. I'm looking forward to getting my J2's.

[ALL SHIPPED!!!] GB: 9$ O-like's "G2" Lenses CLOSED!!!

Re: GB: 9$ "J2" Lenses CLOSED!!! Probably a stupid NOOB question, but why are some pushing to close this J2 deal when a potentially more attractive lens at a better price may be available? I imagine most of us signed up of this group by because as stated in the OP, the lens is about 1/4 the...

[ALL SHIPPED!!!] GB: 9$ O-like's "G2" Lenses CLOSED!!!

Re: GB: 9$ "J2" Lenses CLOSED!!! Interesting development. Will be cool if this GB ends up converting from a J2 to a G2 GB. I imagine participation would increase dramatically if the GB opened back up and was $6 for authentic G2's.

Need clarity on the safety issues with lasers.

I'm a noobie, so let one of of the seasoned guys verify this. One other eye damage risk you need to look out for is the material you cut fluorescing brightly at a frequency different than your laser safety glasses are designed to protect against. If you end up finding yourself wanting to do...

Need clarity on the safety issues with lasers.

So, clearly, thin metals and white paper are out. What about the OP's question with regards to darker papers and safety? My m140 with 3 element burns into cardboard very fast from a few feet away. It seems with practice, I could cut certainly cut paper with accuracy. I'm pretty sure it would...

    PWM drive: increased operating times?

I don't have any practical knowledge to bring to this discussion, but do have a couple thoughts: I understand the peak brightness safety concern. It does, though, seem that many of the high power diodes are still quite dangerous (and still require same safety glasses) at low non-PWM levels...

Checking in after a Long time away, and sharing my drone product lineup

Wow! Fantastic work. Best wishes on successful sales. Would love to get links you mentioned, but I must admit that your products are probably out of me budget range.

Looking for a flashlight battery to replace AAA's

An unprotected 18500 should be just about the same length as a typical cylindrical 3AAA holder. I use 18500's in all my 3AAA flashlights. Just need a little cardboard/plastic to prevent sideways rattling.

Dec 2013 news reports about laser toy hazards

It seems like the sometimes media invents flashy headlines based solely on focus group studies or words that have been proven to generate interest. I can see the brain storming session now. Hmm, "Lasers" are still mysterious to most people. "Hazard" is always a good word to catch attention...
