Community Focus Knob - Group Buy - 2 packs left

RHD. Since you've done business with emachine shop in the past, maybe you could talk to them. Explain the situation of the GB and our predicament?

    Pyro banned WTF!?

What!?! Man, some people got balls. Wasn't there a member recently sending PMs to a lot of people just asking for free stuff? That kind of stuff just blows me away.

    Sold

Re: 500mW 445nm Tiny Blue Lasers $99 These are sweet hosts at an awesome price! It would cost that much to buy the diode, host, and heatsink. Here you have that, plus the driver, module, AR coated lens, and its already built!!! Id buy one if I didn't already have a few. I love these...

    HELP 1W 445nm & 405nm driver Aixiz

If you want to use AAA or AA size batteries, your going to need a boost or boost/buck driver. With both the flexdrive and boost drive your going to need at least 2V - 2.7V input so you'd have to use 2XAAA or 2XAA. Or you could use 1 Li Ion battery 10440=AAA or 14500=AA. A Li ion will provide...

    HELP 1W 445nm & 405nm driver Aixiz

There a lot good drivers for a PHR. But before I recommend one you must decide on your power source. Do you want a labby or hand-held? If hand-held, with a PHR, your could pretty much use any battery (s).

    First Build

Yes. +1 for you sir!! That's for doing your research first and not just starting a thread "Help building a lazor plz!!". Feels pretty good having a successful build huh. Well now you're hooked. Hold on to your wallet!!! LOL. I'm going to send noobs to this thread when they say...

    HELP 1W 445nm & 405nm driver Aixiz

That depends on a couple of factors: 1) Some LD's are more efficient than others. For instance, one 6X might output 200mW at 190mA and another might only output 180mW at 190mA. 2) Optics. Depending on what lens you use. For instance, Jayrob's G-1 405nm lens will give you ~31% increase in...

    Harvesting / Teardown of the Pico1 Projector - 450nm, 640nm, + non-DPSS Green

Nice job RHD!! Thanks for doing this. So, are you going to place an order for 3.8mm module from emachine? If these become popular people will need a source for modules.

    HELP 1W 445nm & 405nm driver Aixiz

O-like sells the same driver: 1W 445nm laser diode driver / 200mW 405nm laser diode driver [OL-445-D] - $14.99 : Welcome to O-Like.com, Your source for laser products but they don't have any documentation either. It states that output voltage: 4.8V with output current: 1.1A. My guess, and it's...

    2W MCU-C88 Q5 26650 Host

Whoa. Sorry for the thread jack DTR, it wasn't my intention to start an argument. I think you guys are splitting hairs with this one. The difference in readings is only +/- 10%. That can be attributed to many things, such as everyone perceives wavelengths a bit differently or the variation...

Hey qumefox, do you remember this thread? http://laserpointerforums.com/f44/200mw-red-equivalent-how-much-green-53813.html#post758774 ? I always refer back to it when these type of questions come up. It seems to me the best method on figuring out what strength wavelength compares in...

    Tinning a LD

Sometimes it helps to put a VERY small amount of flux on the pins first. Then put some solder on the iron and just touch it to the pin. I've actually only tinned the LD pins a couple times. I've found, for me, it's not really necessary. I will just tin the leads of the driver, put a small...
