Stable <5mW pointers
Power isn't everything. When a pointer is only going to be used for pointing, keeping under the 5mw legal eye-safe cutoff is handy for both practical and liability reasons. I haven't been impressed with cheap DPSS <5mw greens yet, both because many of them are reportedly far brighter than 5mw...- ProjMan

Stable <5mW pointers
Other than the Lyra, what other highly stable <5mW pointers are there? I'd like something without any perceptible artifacts (e.g. mode hopping or noticeable brightness changes) during warmup if possible.- ProjMan

Daytime outdoor pointer
I'm looking for a pointer able to shine a spot visible in direct sunlight at a range of 15 feet. Duty cycle will be about 30s on at a time. Will a cheap red or 405nm pointer from somewhere like DX be good enough for this or will I need to step up to a DPSS green pointer like Laserglow's Lyra...
