    IQS (itemquick ship) Laser Round-up

I bet it has something to do with PayPal and the "$20,000 in gross payment volume AND over 200 payments" report to the IRS. Info here: https://cms.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/marketingweb?cmd=_render-content&content_ID=marketing_us/IRS6050W

    IQS (itemquick ship) Laser Round-up

Anybody notice this red pointer offering from itemquickship? If it truly is 85-100mW, $12.99 seems a bargain.

Airport Security and laser pointers & Miami

I just got back from a cruise and took two >5mW green pointers with me. One in checked luggage (100mW) and one in my carry on (50mW). We travelled via American Airlines from St. Louis, MO to Miami, FL. The batteries were removed from both pointers. At no time was I ever questioned about them...

Just starting out- looking for recommendations

Don't want to get the newb confused, 1 milliwatt is 1/1000 (one one thousandth) of a Watt, not 1/100 (one one hundredth).

I think it really depends on the battery's available current and its internal resistance rather than just the voltage.

God i hate drivers. Can i do this instead?

Not to be nitpicking, but where's the switch? I've been following this thread because I want to build a driver and am in the process of gathering materials.

The first one is about 50mW and the second is the 100mW model. Use the email address in this thread to contact IQS and you still might be able to get the 100 for $25.

This thread talks about testing internal resistance of batteries. I posted some pictures on page two of that thread showing how to test them. I've been thinking about purchasing some new batteries. From what I read, Li-Ion batteries suffer from aging after only a year. If they have been sitting...

    Green Laser Range

^^^ Unfortunately for me, the tower is my best target. That warehouse wall would be a great target! You could even measure the dot size and calculate divergence.

    Green Laser Range

I've been thinking about doing just that. There is a radio tower .56 miles from my house that I can see green and red dots but no blue or violet dots. I was going to ask a friend to park right across the street from the tower with a camera while I point different colors at it. First, I want to...
