I switched to ubuntu nearly 5 years ago and i will never go back. If there is an off chance i need to do something in windows I just boot into it through virtualbox

Personally I think my cheap 200mw red dilda is the best for distance. Since the beam is not very bright it is easier to see the dot on very distant objects.
