i won't say that i happens all the time, but a several months back i ordered a 50mW 532nm green pen from DX and they shipped it to my front door. sometimes it slips through the proverbial cracks. maybe you will be lucky.

that looks like just the IR diode and crystal. no optical setup. the beam will still come out in kind of a line (more cone shaped beam than a line). still damn small

Yeah, well it would be dumb not to ask since it is not specified, alot of people call 405nm blue also. i ran across a good deal on a lab style w TTL so if it falls through then i will let you know. that way i can use it in my scanner build soon.
