Got my 500mw Green UltraFure From Price Angels!

Kind of the same process here. :) (My two main problems with internet shopping is the customs limit of app. $14, and being at work/sea for 4 weeks at a time with no one to handle the mail.)

    Do I need a heatsink?

I assume you are talking about a green module. The standard size come in 5-200mW, the 200mW have a current of 750mA+. It will need a heatsink. There are places that can sell you both goggles and a holder/bracket that will serve as heatsink. Here are two kinds of holders for a 12mm module, and...

Got my 500mw Green UltraFure From Price Angels!

That host does not look able to fit more than the standard 5-200mW green module. If you want higher power you have to go to the next size in modules. The photos of measuring on the site vary between 48 and 117mW, so 70-some mW sounds reasonable, but is not really a bargain.

    Tailcap current

The boost circuit acts like a DC "transformer", as in turning low voltage high current, into higher voltage but lower current. A buck driver does the opposite. The tail cap current will be higher, you can expect it to be voltage difference*driver efficiency. The later is hard to predict.

    5mw red lasers

It is a pretty pen, but it is 5mW only. The diode can't handle more power, even if the driver were accessible and adjustable. I you are eager to potmod something, you can buy a few of these. Laser for Airsoft Rifle?

Yes, perhaps I should have put more emphasis on the uncertainty of green (and likely reed too) power levels. Particularly as an air-gun sight is almost certain to be pointed at some ones face. Don't air gun stores have laser sights? Perhaps they cost significantly more than $35, and may be...

    Is this laser focusable?

Epoxy glue tend to dissolve/soften around 70-90C, if it is some kind of locktite it can be cracked with the correct size screwdriver. (That is my experience from cheap greens and hosts.) The module is likely already focused to a nice beam. Using that lens "on the go" is just not practical...

    Laser for Airsoft Rifle?

DX got some. The red ones are not as visible as the green for the 5mw safety limit. The downside to green is greater sensibility, and uncertain powerlevel. (I have a $5 pen that gives 20mW instead of the advertised 5mW) $34.31 - Mystery JG-016 5mW Green Laser Sight with Gun Mount (1*CR2...

Would this be an Awesome Looking Host...

It looks like you are supposed to drill a 1'' dole in your hull, then fit the threaded rod through from the outside, fasten it with the dish from the inside, then tighten the bolts to keep the dish in place. It is then a bit unclear whether the head contain LED's as well as optics, or it is...
