Restore Solder Paste that's getting dry?

Unfortunately "more" is via slow boat from China, after they get over their New Year hangover... unless you know a cheap source on this continent? :yh: DanQ

Restore Solder Paste that's getting dry?

not sure which forum this belongs in... but here it is: Has anyone ever successfully 'thinned' solder paste that's gotten a bit stiff? A while back I bought a supply of it from DX; but then became unable to use it... Now I'm beginning to claw my way back up to where I can do a bit of hobbying...

    Rechargable cr2 battery.

Well, you never know - my intelligence fluctuates and flickers more than a cheap ebay greenie! maybe it's just the switch ;) DanQ

    Rechargable cr2 battery.

Right, I know these things... But didn't think of the possibility that the seller may have meant that those batteries' voltage may be too high for flashlights - which now I see is probably the case. :) DanQ

    Rechargable cr2 battery.

Dave, there's a caveat on that page: PLEASE NOTE, THESE ARE 3.6 VOLT PHOTO LITHIUM BATTERIES AND ARE INTENDED FOR CAMERAS AND NOT INTENDED FOR OTHER APPLICATIONS INCLUDING FLASHLIGHTS. That's a bit odd... but maybe these are out-of-spec, high internal resistance, or ? DanQ

    Hello and LG BH10LS30 (10X)

ummmm... I'm just a simple low-post-count old-timer, but it looks to me like that "x" really is a "+"... or maybe it doesn't matter because either way, it could simply be a result of auto-testing in manufacture, and mean "this one can be pushed" or something like that. DanQ

    The LEDShoppe Thread

200 feet in daylight is pretty good for 5mW - I'd say you got at least what you ordered, maybe a bit more. You might be able to pot-mod it, I don't know... but without a power measuring device you may not see the difference... and the pot-mod could go wrong. Have fun! DanQ

Warning: Do not buy/sell/trade with BlueFushion

Geez, guys, is he still scamming people? He was thoroughly proven to be dishonest back in the first half of 2008! I thought he was banned? I trusted him, gave the benefit of 'the doubt'; and he rewarded me with 6 month of constant "this week" or "it should be on its way", etc. If he's...

    The LEDShoppe Thread

Maybe... how far away can you make a green point in daylight? You shouldn't expect to see the beam in daylight. Have you tried new alkaline batteries? Don't be so sure it's not over spec, unless you have experience with green lasers or something to measure power. And please, take safety...

    The LEDShoppe Thread

yeah, I figured - that's what I'd do too so thought the probability was low that was the problem... it seems awful lame that they would have "no influence" on the status of your order - how fresh does it need to be for them? I can see this developing: you get in touch with Ledshoppe; they "have...

    The LEDShoppe Thread

this may seem like a dumb question (it probably is a dumb question), but that sounds like they were asked about the wrong order number - did you check that? DanQ

    WTB: Clicky Switch

Wow! I wasn't expecting that kind of response... well, guess I should have known - Kenom always has bent over backwards to accommodate people. No need to send me anything - just tell me which to order. I'd like to know which fits and/or operates better in your opinion. That $6.00 "LXX Switch...

    WTB: Clicky Switch

Darn! I logged on just for this - was hoping Ken or someone would have found an alternative sw that fits... those switches are a real Achilles' Heel for the Kryton! I've built 4 Krytons so far, and all are flaky - the switch is the cause of every one. I'm holding off on building any more of...

Mini red: AAA size, 230mW out

I know posting a price would help - but have been ill so haven't kept up with LPF for a few months, so you folks know what it's worth better than me. If nobody makes an offer, I'll try to figure out a price based on other sales here. As it is, it's just like an auction with no minimum...

Point a laser at fully blind eye?

interesting discussion. My initial reaction when I saw the subject line was negative. After reading the whole thread I see that the original intent was benign. However - laser83, you might benefit from considering a couple of points: first, the effect a topic's subject line has; a more...
