If You've Actually Received Your Spyder III Arctic - Post Here

Hoo hoo!!! I made the list!! :D It's funny because I'm not actually sure what to consider myself. I'm not really a newbie to laser pointers (I had a 15mW Green back in 2002 when they were $500 a pop. Best $500 I ever spent). But on the other hand, I'm one of those people who pretty much use my...

Wicked Lasers Spyder III ARCTIC - my review

I personally wouldn't be letting anyone handle my Arctics, or even my 50mw greens for that matter. People are wayyyy too irresponsible. I had a 15mw green a while back, and a buddy wanted to see it. So I gave it to him and the first thing he did was shine it into the neighbors window. That's...

Wicked Lasers Spyder III ARCTIC - my review

I think I would have to disagree with this. A point blank hit in the eye even with a 5mw 445nm would probably cause at least some damage. It would suck to get a hit right in the macula even with a 5mw as it would probably do cause noticeable damage. Probably not catastrophic like 1W, but you...

Wicked Lasers Spyder III ARCTIC - my review

Great review. I have 2 of them. Both are slightly different in that one has a slightly more focused beam, and the plastic membrane on the main power switch is thinner. Other than that they are basically the same. I waited around 5 months for my first one (bought second one off a member from...

Star Trek Assault Phaser 1.4W 445nm

The "magazine" is the power pack. Even Star Trek Phasers run out of battery power lmao

    ARCTIC HOST feeler! interested? READ

Put me down for at least one, or possibly 2 if the price is doable for me for 2.

    Spartan Series 1W Blue Laser

Apparently he won't ship to Canada as I just got blocked from bidding. He will also not accept incoming questions. Too bad, good price for what it is.

Another "staring at reflection" question. Sorry guys

    Super Beast Green

Dude that is freakin' nuts!!! I need to get myself one of these Laser Power Meters and test all my own shiat!

Another "staring at reflection" question. Sorry guys

Hey, I've been trying to find info on the safest power of a green laser if you look at the reflection from the dot on a matte white surface. From what I can tell so far, it seems that 50mw is the highest recommended to stare at a diffused reflection with the naked eye. Yet other sources say...

green laser dim after a bit

I had this exact same problem with 2 eBay green lasers. It turned out to be the little contact spring. I don't know how or why, but when I pulled the spring out a little bit (using a paperclip) it fixed the issue on both units, now they don't dim at all. Mine were dimming almost right away...

What do you do with your $9 ebay 405nm laser?

I guess my question was: Assuming that these "5mW" lasers are used in an environment with zero shiny surfaces and only flat white surfaces, is the reflection safe to look at? Or should one wear goggles for these?

What do you do with your $9 ebay 405nm laser?

How dangerous are these purple lasers to stare at the reflections. Many of you are saying these are overspec (30-70mW?). I'm assuming that includes the UV that is invisible to us, so we might be seeing 15mW of an actual 30mW for example? Can this UV reflect back and damage our vision?

Care and feeding of your Arctic beast part (G)2

Wow 40mW reflected back is quite high! What's the chance of frying the diode with that reflection?

Dude, you rock man! I'm glad there's people with this kind of devotion to the hobby.

Arctic G2 Review Edit: Added a lot of pics

My X line lens broke :( but I didn't really care too much for it. Instead I'm going to turn it into an open hole for unobstructed laser path (kind of like ZapU's G1 trainer lens mod)

Care and feeding of your Arctic beast part (G)2

Wow awesome review!!! So from a flat white surface it will reflect the equivalent of a 20mW laser aimed directly at the eye? Is that what I got from this? Wow I haven't used my Arctics much yet because I'm scared to rely primarily on the WL Glasses. Do you know if the other lenses will...

Whoops! Didn't realize the stuff was sold already LOL

    WickerLaser Arctic Goggles

I may have to get a pair of those Eagle lenses. I'm scared to even look directly at the dot on my Arctics with the stock WL Glasses. Seems to be a lot better with the double stacked lenses on the eyes though lol
