The I "C" Red Battle Royale LPF Contest

Wow, LB! I am most impressed. And to BP for the 3W MS-SSW! I am so jealous! I wish I could get into this. Maybe someone will want a build by me when there are some viable build options available. Big rep to you, LB on this thread! I would personally like to get as much info as possible with...

The Death of the Mighty Steed

Thanks, all. There is no way I'm selling off anything from my personal collection. I have some Kryton hosts in stock, and 5 MS-SSW's, all ready for your builds. I can save some each week, and for now we can stay with just one car. She's limping along, for now. I will just drive her until she...

The Death of the Mighty Steed

So, I was picking up my daughter at the airport. I was in my little Toyota Solara, which has been a trusty used car we got from a friend. She's got ~168K miles on her. We've hardly had to do anything to it in the 2+ years we've had her. Well, the little Toyota, named Stella, suffered a fatal...

Re: Last Chance..Get Your Custom SBA Kryton Groove Before They're Gone!! Bump! I currently have 3 Krytons left. You can have yours hand polished or with the original clear anodised finish. I can outfit these for you with just about any diode you'd like! Just PM me with your needs, and we can...

FS: Custom Builds with Sinner's MS-SSW

An update: I have taken possession of the final run of MS-SSWs by Sinner. These are still for sale as a host only, or through me as an SBA custom build. Any wavelength diode will work in this host. Jump on it!

Unfortunate laser incident that involves MX

Oye Vey Ismear...I think only Godzilla can facepalm hard enough for this kind of douche-baggery. Can I leave now?

    9mm 445nm heatsinking question

I cannot see any advantage, whatsoever, in your proposed fix. You need as much sinking around that module as possible. Why don't you remove the driver and put it in the pill, where it belongs? That way, you can fit the module into the heatsink properly.

Throw away those goggles and hand me an Arctic!

It's even better than that...They're transplating retinal cells. All we need to do is program them for other wavelengths, and we'd see them just like a Mantis Shrimp!

Throw away those goggles and hand me an Arctic!

Don't you worry, gentlemen. I'm not planning on being an experiment candidate any time soon. I'll be keeping mine as well. Now, why can't we have retinas that work in IR and UV, already??

Throw away those goggles and hand me an Arctic!

Don't get too terribly excited, just yet folks. But, here's some great news for all of us who have done some damage to our retinas. First successful transplant of retinas made from embryonic stem cells - FierceBiotech

    9mm Ehgemus dubbed "TitainsFist"

That's a really great laser, Jander! Congrats on the Ehgemus host!

    Anyone pushed a M140 beyond 2.0A?

I am the lead tech for a vacuum cleaner business. I use the laser to burn hair and other fibers from metal moving-parts that have tight clearances that do not allow easy use of traditional tools. The laser makes the job much faster and easier. I believe I still have a video thread up...

Tell me about the specs of the host Mo is building for you.

    **PRICE DROP** 520nm pocket laser

Re: Couple MS builds Hey, BP. If you change your mind on your MS-SSW, I can finish the build for you. Have you tried to use pure acetone to clean the lens? You can also try 90% Isopropyl to clean it. Should you sell it, I will make the same offer to your buyer. That's a helluva price for a 9mm...

    Introvert discussion

As the obvious extrovert in this thread, I'm just gonna go stand over here -------------> Great thread, DrEvil.

594 vs 589 and other neat shots

I haven't been lucky enough to experience any golden yellow goodness as yet. But, to my eyes, there is a clear difference between my cool-running 115mW 520nm and my 100mW 532nm. Sure, it's not much to most people, but with my experience in color theory and as a photographer, it's clear to me...

    Anyone pushed a M140 beyond 2.0A?

Here's my 2A M-140 build. It's my daily driver, as I use it at work daily to burn hair and other fibers. With this amazing JayRob Cu heatsink, I've run 5 minute duty cycles, and regularly use it for >3 minute duty cycles. It still performs beautifully after several months and maybe as much as >1...

    What tripod do you use?

Thanks for this thread! It's a great idea. I had this familiar piece of crap tripod from a vendor we all know. It's just too light and weak to hold anything heavier than a Kryton. So, I had to step it up when I got my MS-SSW. After Isaac's great review thread, I jumped on the Pedco Ultrapod II...
