Haven´t tested, but I do think that in fact there is a loss in power when shining through a diffraction grating. The amount of the loss depends on the material and coating of the grating.

Thanks, I´m gonna look more into this direction. What does these have to do with my question in the first post? I´m looking for tested bad goggles. These cheap safety goggles are mostly more than good enough for us hobbyist (tested a ton of them). Or did you tested the goggles you linked...

Got the one from Zonestealth (aka laser2go) - so I have good ones, also cheap ones, but they´re also near as good as the Zonestealth goggles when looking at ~300mW of red power. The dot is nearly invisible with all of them. Not very useful for taking pictures.

They don´t have to fully protect me, just reducing the power as the old WL goggles did

You don´t always need laser safety goggles when handling the laser with care (and you´re experienced enought to do so). I only wear goggles when doing some beamshots, teaking LPM readings or burning stuff.

You can use this tool to calculate the divergence. Takes about 6 seconds here with a 73mW laser (1.4mRad beam diameter, 1.6mRad divergence) and a small black balloon at similar distance. Guess you´re fine with yours, it should do around 70-80mW as well ! As some other guys pointed out, much...

I agree that it is veryvery hard to estimate the laserpower with higher powerd lasers. At this power, you can do some tests: Is it able to pop a balloon? (which color, at what distance, how long does it take) Is it able to burn a match? (same as above) Do divergence and beam diameter...

Yes, I agree. In the end it depends in what the creator is interpreting into the scene :) Gonna think about iit again and play with the colors then. What I don´t like is to create a photomontage.

Maybe she is ready to quit life. Maybe she even started in high age as her husband passed away. We have quite a lot of gypsies around. Most of them are known for having no spark of decency. Some other BW faces I got yesterday in the half-an-hour city-rush:

New version below! I´m not able to to that one for now (my PS skillz are near zero :)) What I did here is cropping the picture (maybe too much?) and putting a soft grey line around the cigarette.
