Don't blame you! I look at the word waterproof and think splash proof most the time regardless of wether it's a laser or whatever.

Being that the laser and battery's are both brand new I'm gonna assume its the low quality overall of the pen laser.

I've got the same issue with a green 50mw pen. Mine however is the latter of the two. When I power it on it dims so fast my girlfriend can't really see it but I can. Maybe a quarter of a second. It hasn't lost power from use but it has done that from the manufacturer. I wasn't to concered beach...

Do you wanna test the waterproof on the host for me. I don't have it in me to put it underwater.

I've got the same 500mw and The heat sink feels heavy duty enough. I havent run it more then 2 minutes at a time. I'll run a timer on it and let you know how hot it's actually getting.

O'like has waterproof hosts. I've got a 500mw 532 that burns awesome but I'm not willing to purposefully use it underwater yet..

If your buying all the parts to build a laser but not an assembled one you should be good to go. The reasoning behind this is because separately the parts each have an individual purpose. The battery could be the only problem as its never great to send batteries in the mail.

O'like refunded me 3 dollars. I feel like that's a bit unsatisfactory. I was the one to fix the laser and I had 2 weeks after I recieved it to figure it out.

Update! Battery was good from the factory. Not sure why it didn't work right off the bat but after exhausting my solutions I took the charger apart found a bad solder and used a different battery I know works. Epic laser. Super bright and there's a lot of burning power behind it. Seems like...

Also the batteries I ordered on amazon and a new charger will be in by the end of the week. If that's the fix great.
