Depends you can drive them in series and the driver will take the extra voltage once one dies and turn it into heat or you can do parallel but then if one die the other one goes.

thats one of the things i want to build is a 1W 532nm laser then mix it with a 2W 635nm laser and get a very nice sweet yellow only 3W but would be super bright at night.

Sry if this looks like a 2x posting this is just an update from a long ago to what i can currently offer also up on its own GB thread.
for the most part the nm shifts are small. only the old 445nm and the new 635nm diodes seem to have very large shifts in nm and still i think they are limited to around 5nm max

Each diode has a spec sheet, in there you will find the NM shift at different temps.
For some diode the cooling will make the beam brighter and some will make it less.
