Laser Harp kits - Batch 2 - Finished

Re: Laser Harp kits - Batch 2 - 12 left! oh that would be so nice yeah that would not be to much of a problem i was thinking of using a 445 diode and a 635 diode plus a 350mw green. So they would all have a power of over 350mw. Think about having a white laser harp. now that is cool. I had the...

Laser Harp kits - Batch 2 - Finished

Re: Laser Harp kits - Batch 2 - 12 left! yea because if it had a spare pin that i could break out that would be awesome. Make the harp effect much more interesting. Hell if it has 2 spare pins we could be talking rgb harps. Now that i would like to see.

o-like 400mW without the lens vs. with lens

So the lens has about an 8.16% loss. Hmm not amazing but not super bad. Well i got some coated lenses around here i will give it a try and see if we cant find something under 3% loss

FREE DIY open source BOOST driver!!! Tested & working!!

well seeing at dorkboard its around 5$ per square in and you get 3 boards so that goes down to 1.67$ per in unless im reading his site wrong. You can get board much cheaper than 1.67 an square in. If you buy a whole panel that is, there are a few different size ones but depending on interest we...

Re: Laser Harp kits - Batch 2 - 12 left! Also is there any way yo make it dual color? Like blue for normal beams then when you stick your hand in a beam it turns it green just for that beam? FREE DIY open source BOOST driver!!! Tested & working!!

yea reflow soldering is a very easy thing to do. Just make sure your pads dont have to much copper connected to them or else you run the risk of tombstone some of the small resistors. I did alot of my work via a 22in electric skillet with a cover. No fancy electric temp controllers, just a...

what size bit for axiz module?

That is true, a 12mm reamer helps but that only takes more materiel away so even more of a need for thermal compound. and its a good idea to put the compound on the threads of tail end of the aixiz housing. to help the heat transfer to the back half of the aixiz housing and into the heatsink...

    New guy introduction + Question

avoid Q-tips they can scratch lenses. Use an air duster for a pc and if that wont work use a lens cloth for glasses.

    Best LPM for the price

another better way would be to take a piece of hollow tubing and paint it black and glue it over the sensor. that way nothing can drop and scratch it, or dust build up and make the meter read wrong. I had a sensor that had about 2 months of dust and i made the reading way off.

    Best LPM for the price

ohh the price is 70$ for the bluefan lpm? Well then with a few more reviews i think we got an good priced unit just like the radiant alpha meters. Yeah the lpm market does not have much for competition in the low end price for under 100$. There is good money in a nice low end meter but the time...

o-like 400mW without the lens vs. with lens

well if you get more pics of the inside im sure some one can work it out for you. Also if you plan on opening it up mind telling me what current that thing is running? I have one of those as well well just the bare module and they had the thing set at only 1.6A and it only gave out around 300...

    Best LPM for the price

TBH if you can find an alpha meter that would be the cheapest solution with very little work. You can diy build a meter for under 50$ and send it to a member to have it calibrated. most nice members are willing to do it for next to nothing you cover postage. Laserbee meters are nice, i calibrate...

Laser fire sale Large images PRICE DROP

Re: Laser fire sale Large images The diodes are A140 diodes. If any one wants the whole projector i am willing to let it go for 720$. That brings the price down 30$ a diode if you buy the whole thing plus you get all the fun goodies of a projector.

what size bit for axiz module?

use a 15/32 drill bit. If you have a drill press with a bit of vibrations it will come out to being almost perfect you might have to press fit. I use a 15/32 then use a 12mm reamer if i don want to press fit. But some 15/32 bits dont need it. I found using 12mm bits made the hole to large.
