    Ultrafire 16340 troubleshooting

Hello, I've done several builds lately and I've faced a real problem here. I used a m140 w/ 1,25A driver from DX in c6 host. When i use two 16340 ultrafire batteries the laser turns on and after 10 seconds it's so dim that seems to be a 5mW laser. I've connected my psu setted at the same...

    Permanent eye damage done.

That has nothing to do with dirt on the eyes. If this floaters are disturbing you visit an ophtalmologist and he'll suck them out of your eye. But I don't think he's talking about floaters, it's a black circle, you should visit a doctor, there are various diseases that can cause this kind of...

    Do violet lasers realease IR?

1 minute sun exposure = 10^6 DNA damages Normal humans (exept for xeroderma pigmentosum or cockaynes) can handle very well acute UVA/UVB exposure (lasers have only UVA that's the risky one), there's barely no risk of getting a skin cancer while ocasionally hitting your skin with a laser. I...

    Do violet lasers realease IR?

Even not shooting IR this pens can still be dangerous. Most of them are overspec and may reach 50-80mW.

    A little help with this

I suggest a ceramic capacitor, they won't burn your diode if you don't short the leads before running it. They have a very low charge. By the way: Great forum name you got there

    Dealextreme cheap CNC lathe

I guess a lathe does not needs that much power to work, even on metal. A 1500mm (a professional quality lathe) works with about 2hp that equals 1400W of power. We can buy home drilling machines with about that power. A good bit is important for quick machining, but of course the power...

    Dealextreme cheap CNC lathe

The hole on the heatsink will be made with a 12mm HSS drill, it will be exactly 12mm. I don't see your point

    Is my chinese PSU broken?

yes, i have two test loads, one from rckstr and one I've built myself. I'm looking forward to buy one of those 'heavy duty' ones, i'll put it on my next cajunlasers order.
