FS: New Pen Host Kits! Switch board with Spring Option - Nice!

\/\/  I emailed will @laser66 and he said that he has heaps of chrome pens as well as gold pens in stock

    Pen Host (Newbie) Question

Man I would be absolutely devastated if customs seized something that expensive :cryyy: Whereabouts are you in Australia? As for the module without threads you've just gotta start being creative :) I'd use Auminium foil tightly wrapped around the module with AS5 until it fits relatively...

FS: 4 New Custom Hosts 2x18650 Awesome White Powder Coat PRICE DROPPED!

Double post :paypal: I'm psyched :D Hopefully this will be my first Eghemus host of many

Resistance is futile... I'll take #3 :) PM sent.

    Using amc7135 driver for m140?

The atmel attiny13a MCU on that driver has a voltage limit of 5.5v. As LarryDFW said the zener diode and the resistor will limit the voltage going to the MCU and amc chips. Although I wouldn't have bought that driver for 9 bucks. Here's the same one from fasttech for $2.5 If the input...

    L2C carbon fiber w/ 365nm UV LEDENGIN LZ1

Welcome to LPF CK! I saw djozz's build with this emitter on BLF and although it's quite expensive compared to most led's it produced some awesome results! I'm sure you'll enjoy your time here at LPF, there are many like-minded members here who create some fantastic drivers :)

    Identify Pointers Body

China. Honestly the host that you mentioned is just like a generic 301 host. You could never truly pinpoint the exact manufacturer.

    The "Photino RGB"

That's some incredibly detailed CNC work there. This looks absolutely amazing and I can't wait 'till you finish it  +1 (btw, I meant to say 'sir' in the rep comment lol) What kind of code for the attiny13a micro-controller have you based the firmware on? Or did you start from scratch...

    XML 9T6 "11000Lumen"

I figured as much :) reading the battery configuration that you had in mind instantly made me think of that host.

    XML 9T6 "11000Lumen"

Not true... XM-L2 Leds will increase in brightness right up until ~8 amps. It may be quite inefficient running an xml2 passed 5 amps but that does not mean there is no gain in lumens. This is only possible with the xml2 on a DTP (direct thermal path) copper MCPCB. (Thanks djozz) @rhd, this...

I'm tempted to grab this! 30% off WL -

I personally think that's a great deal. You can't really buy optically corrected handhelds on the market, plus the host is cool. For $140 I'd say there aren't many offerings out there for the same price.

    Flashlight/Host review: GearBest UltraFire XM-L2 1x26650 light

You're going to be extremely hard pressed to find a budget light that is completely regulated. The cheapest route would be to purchase a light that has a linear regulated AMC7135 driver. But even then it will only stay in regulation as long as the cells voltage is above the vf of the LEDs. And...

    First Proper 1.6W 445nm Build Static(ESD) Questions

The Osram PLTB450B has an ESD protection circuit built in so I wouldn't worry about it. Just make sure to short the driver leads before soldering them to the diode.

    Help - First build!

It depends on what driver you're using but if the driver takes care of both the positive and negative contacs in the host than you can just forget about the white lead and cut it off.

Post Your Tablet and Thoughts on It!

I use an iPad mini for the apps, battery life and ergonomics. Not a fan of iOS though. I'd love to have an iPad mini running Android L ;)

    Getting lasers in Australia?

Parts need not be in the area. Laser diodes/laser parts have always been legal to import into Australia. DTR's Laser Shop

Looking for not overpriced and good quality green laser

Take a look at the current Skylaser/Laserbtb GB. I'm not sure if it's still open to receiving new orders but the prices are quite exceptional. A 300mw 532nm HL is only $149 for example. If you're looking for higher quality you might want to consider Jetlasers.org. Their customer service is the...

The "Photinos" - 520nm and friends

That is flat out amazing! Major props rhd  It'd be awesome to see a 20 second LPM graph of them. During the vid even the 5 second LPM test shows that the output is plummeting like a rock. But these aren't meant for extended usage :p You've certainly created an absolutely stunning...
