    some new pics 8/29/18

Hi Paul, A few years ago I think it Discovery had an hour documentary on that very subject and used computer animation to show how it could have been cut from the French Blue. Here are a few pics of it and of my dream glass (quartz) sphere. It is huge and has got to weigh a few hundred pounds...

    Hodgepodge of Pics

Hey Lew, Nice pics! I like the 405nm ones the best

    some new pics 8/29/18

Hey Paul, I have been to the various Smithsonians many, many times and have hundreds of photos from them. My favorite is the Air Space Museum at Dulles Airport in Virginia. There is also the one at the Mall, but this one is the better of the two Smithsonian Air Space museums. They have the Enola...

    some new pics 8/29/18

Thanks everyone! Lew - You should check out Dragon Lasers for the best diffraction gratings without spending a good amount of money. I think around 12 dollars for a fan or matrix pattern. The Laserglow diffraction grating in these pics is only about a quarter inch in diameter and cost me 65...

    some new pics 8/29/18

These photos were taken two weeks ago and feature quite a few shots using a 532nm. When the 520 nm became popular about four years back or so, I did not use the frequency much. But is is a very vibrant color and it shows in these pics. I also used a 488nm in many of them as well. At least to me...

    Glass Ball / Diffraction Grating

Hey Lew, More nice pics! I like the ones with one color the best. I have been using my right angle quite a bit in the last few weeks, and they are still set up for what I am working on now and the upcoming week. I have had them for 6 years now and have had no luck finding the same exact ones...

    some "new" pics 8/18/18

These pics were taken the last week of July. The first part is I set up a few "tunnels" made of hematite magnetic balls for the beam to pass thru. I also used mirrors, a beam splitter , and some prisms to make the one beam travel around and thru the hematite balls. Most of them are using a...

    A mix of photos

Hi Lew, More GREAT pics! I like 5474 the best as you got a nice image in the glass. The last one is what I am so use to seeing. As you can see by moving the camera up or down , left or right, it changes the way the beam is magnified thru the glass ball. Also you can control the intensity of what...

    488nm Sharp Solarforce Build

Hey Arcticdude. I really like the shade of yellow in the first pic. Looks nothing like a 589. There is no orange in it at all. That color must look awesome in person. I guess the same color can be had with the Sanwu RGB who you get it to test.

    some "new" pics 7/27/18

Hi GSS, I did not take that photo. I bought it 24 years ago and had it framed and it has hung in my house(s) since then. I am die hard NYR and do not like the Devils. You can have your share of cup winners with the Bruins. I just have 1994.

    some "new" pics 7/27/18

Hi GSS, I hate to burst your bubble but their are no laser photos hung up . Since I am photographing them almost daily, there would be two many. I do have a laser photo on my wall at work in my office. They are some of my favorite concert photos, architecture photos, and some framed autograph...

    some "new" pics 7/27/18

Thanks everyone! I think my favs are 5219 and 5223. At least for me what is captured inside the glass sphere and the contrast of the edges of the sphere and the background make them special for me. Also the reflections in the mirrors on the table and the magnetic balls are also a nice touch...

    some "new" pics 7/27/18

These pics were taken last month using many mirrors, magnetic balls, a fan diffraction grating, and a glass sphere toward the end. Two rainbows of 460, 520, 589, & 638 were used, and the ones that are just greenish blue are a 488, 495, and 505nm. I set the bottom mirrors up in a triangle and had...

    Tubes of Light

Hi Lew, Very interesting video. I have noticed on the few times I have photographed my projectors with the beams moving all around at various speeds how the photo may not look like what is actually seen. One nice thing with DMX control of the projectors is how you change change the speed, XY...
