    Feeler: The BAMF

The list has been lowered to 5 units. I will be making 10 though, but hopefully this will shorten the waiting period.

    Introducing the BAMF

Yup, thanks a lot for the diode and the module. I'll see what I can do with them. Much appreciated!

    Introducing the BAMF

Thanks for the LPMing and it was certainly good to see you again. :) Too bad the Ophir didn't work out, but glad you got it working again.

    Feeler: The BAMF

rhd, yes the TN30's stock driver is a true constant current driver. I've tested it from a dead short to the 10.5V with LED's in series and they all maintain the constant current of 3.5A stock. I modified the driver to output 2.40A, and that also holds its current whether there is a dead short or...

    Feeler: The BAMF

Yeah it's a shame they won't sell the hosts and drivers only, it would bring down the price by a lot. The quality of the light is one of the very best though, hopefully some of you get to experience it in a laser. Thanks for the suggestions. The V60C looked enticing but it's a single emitter...

    Feeler: The BAMF

Yeah, I wish I could only get the hosts, it's unfortunate I couldn't do so. Thanks for your feedback! :thanks:

    Feeler: The BAMF

Yup, that is correct, no set screw and no threading on the heatsink. Perhaps I shouldn't have mentioned the price of the TN30 light. The Dominator which you mentioned, sold for $450 just until the price drop. I'm not sure why you think my price is not of decent value for money.

    Feeler: The BAMF

No problem, just add $400 to the price. :D I'm going to assume that you've never played with a $150+ torch. :) There are reasons why flashaholics pay hundreds of dollars for a flashlight, while others simply think they're crazy. Thermal energy is measured by Q = m x c x T, which can be...

    Feeler: The BAMF

Thanks mate! I've contacted ThruNite and Supbeam countless number of times of just getting the host, but they insisted that they only sell completed lights. :yabbmad:

All quiet on the western front? :D :bumpit:

    Introducing the BAMF

The new 445nm would be incredible! :D Yeah, I'm testing the waters and since I only get a discount when I order 10+ TN30's, so that seems like the best way to go.

    Mrcrouse vs USPS: Mrcrouse wins!

Great entertaining narrative, thanks for sharing! +1

    1 year Anniversary! Thanks guys!

Congrats on your 1year anniversary and your date! Can't believe you haven't killed a diode yet. :D

    Feeler: The BAMF

*The list has been lowered to 5 units. I will be making 10 though, but hopefully this will shorten the waiting period. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Hi all, I'm pleased to announce the first run of BAMF lasers. This feeler thread is going to gauge interest for the first ten units...

    Introducing the BAMF

Thanks! In this thread, I mentioned that the reason I couldn't use K40/TN31 or other single emitter throwers was because the driver's voltage is actually limited to about 4.2-4.3V. That's why it's unable to power an MT-G2. On the other hand the X40/TN30 3x XM-L2 lights have LED's in series and...

    [SOLVED]0.34A but i bougth it for 1,2A?

Re: Oh wow.. a dead driver arrived? I'm actually familiar with that driver. Seems like the inductor chipped off, but shouldn't affect performance. Just make sure the coil doesn't unravel.

    Purchasing off a banned member

I think it depends on why the member was banned. If it's a permaban, I think he/she can retaliate by sending a piece of junk and disappearing for good. I do hope you used PP for protection. If everything goes as planned, I think it's a good purchase.
