    10A Driver Help Please?

You'd need a reaaaally big lens, like a watermelon. But even then I gotta put 5W in to get emission at forward current. So fragile too. We were walking with one of these and it snapped under its own weight. Not saying no one should try it, it would just be really expensive. Edit: peak emission...

    10A Driver Help Please?

We're observing cracking in solar cells due to fatigue in varying temperatures and correlating it with efficiency, then comparing it to simulations run in Matlab and Comsol. Since the cells act like LEDs, and emit IR from about 900nm-1300nm, we can see this electroluminescence with a cheap...

    10A Driver Help Please?

Oh well. If it's no good I can just buy a 50w rheostat. But the professor's disappointment level will be at an all new level. I'll post if it blows up. These solar cells can take a beating too though. I connected 40A by accident once and it still worked afterwards

    10A Driver Help Please?

 Here was my solution cc module The literature said someone had provided 6A from 22v somehow; the literature is just very sketchy so that's why I was so afraid. It also said someone "used a 10A power supply". This 8A should be enough, but if it's not I could stick another current supply...

Thank you so much. This is wonderful news to me

    10A Driver Help Please?

Nope, just one cell at a time. I've read that LM devices can't be connected as such because they'd share current unevenly here. Could I just ignore it without starting a fire? That also raises a concern. (12v-0.5v)10A. I'd need to spend $10 on a converter anyhow Ideally, could someone just...

    10A Driver Help Please?

Hi! I'm having electrical issues and I figured who knows constant current more than LPF. Background: - mechanical engineering student in design project group with 3 other MEs with no EEs. I've been charged with all the electrical duties because I know how to solder. Professor always disappointed...

I want to find a quality laser for $150. Green or Blue

A little vague. What kind of power are you looking for? Do you have safety glasses? I have a 1.0 watt 445nm laser with an A-type M140 diode in This kind of host (post #10). Takes a 18650, case positive. Duty cycle of about 1 - 1+1/2 minute, 2min max on; 2-3min off. 3 element lens. Power graph is...

FS: 40W 460nm Laser Diode Bank + other stuff

Was that 200mw 532 measured before or after an IR filter during testing? Or is it safe to assume >=150mw green? PSU included / power input specs? Might be interested, more like oooo those shoes in my color are on sale

EDIT: 500mw 520nm Zombie Killer *PRICE DROP*

Re: EDIT: 500mw 520nm Zombie Killer I'm sorry to hear you've lost your bearings. Good luck with the sale!

    Wanted: 300-500mW 532nm or 520nm

yeah. But school is really tough right now and I might wait till i get an internship

    Wanted: 300-500mW 532nm or 520nm

Yeah, like I said in message, it's just too bright for me. If I shine it across my yard in broad daylight, the dot is just painfully bright on my dark wooden fence. I'm more of a gotta catch 'em all wavelength kind of guy My guitar teacher once said "You can own all the fancy guitars you want...

    Ebay "Thor" Laser

The thread size is just the standard M9x0.5. 6-10mm long will do. Don't replace it with any cheap 1 element lens from Techhood (the kind with the brass nut that cost $8), because you won't be able to get it close enough to the laser diode to focus it. Just any standard glass lens. See DTR's...

    Ebay "Thor" Laser

I don't think you can take off the front face, if you look at the 5th image. I don't remember if I tried unscrewing the front shroud myself when I had it. The easiest way is really just to make sure it's an acrylic/bad lens and unscrew it with a nail. The lens will come right out the front...

    Wanted: 300-500mW 532nm or 520nm

I got a 500mw 520 as seen here. What's your budget? Does $300 sound reasonable? Edit: the spring issue was fixed since then btw

    Guilty Pleasure

Especially the red ones. It's really hard not to get a 301 that's not 200mw. But their LED drivers blow up sometimes

    Tiny red laser

Nice laser. I didn't realize you did it first. I just stuck my diode on the original flashlight driver, and it seems healthy enough so far my thread

    5mw mini AAA 660nm build

Update Ok, some bad things happened and long story short it's purple now. I just wanted to put a 200mw red diode in it, but I failed at it 3 times. I had some diodes in some (broken) Chinese 301 lasers. Went through all my reds and then a 405 which didn't break. The reasons why they all broke...

    5mw mini AAA 660nm build

I got this cool 1W flashlight today, and I really liked it. So I promptly destroyed it to find out how it works. Turns out it's almost the perfect size for a 12mm module head. I used a default 5mw red 12mm module I had from a long while ago. I first tried to fit the laser's driver in there...
