    1.6W DHOM Greenie

From Meirelight....Second product I've purchased. They were spot on with their specs with regards to laser output. You can negotiate pricing and shipping is free. Both lasers arrived within 3 days.

    1.6W DHOM Greenie

So my new DHOM green laser arrived. The laser was as a 1 Watt but I asked them to find one with a higher power. They were very helpful and said the one I’ll receive will output 1600-1800mW. I tested the laser when it arrived and it did indeed do 1657mW. A steal @ $850! I benchmarked the laser...

    515nm diodes- It's not a hoax.

Judging by the spec sheet looks like the 515 will do about 100mW @ 300mA...Nice!! PS: Please don't correct my grammer or spelling...this is a laser forum not a freeking english class!

    Tragedy!!!

    Eish....

Voltage overhead for 2 x 445 in series

I just remeasured the amps today. The current is set too 1.65A. Both lasers giving +- 1800mW total. Running the laser as a single unit at this current gives 1300mW. Wiring looks ok. Should I de-solder with wiring from the diodes and replace it with thicker guage?

    A140 melted bond wires

Is that s CO2 laser in the background? Wicked!

    A140 melted bond wires

Amazing how the wires always seem to melt before the laser goes COD. Tough lasers. Who knows...maybe these guys can push 3W with thicker wires onto the die.. :)

Voltage overhead for 2 x 445 in series

Good point....I am using a thin gauge wire. Perhaps I need a thicker wire

    Good source for PBS cubes?

The loss is negligible. I have something like 1% on my one axis and 5% on the other. Therefore 2000mW input = 120mW loss. Of coarse knife edging is awesome cause you not limited to two lasers :)

    I am disappointed!!!

I missed this post....sorry. I would have thrown something together....just for the fun of it :)

My new DHOM 532 >1W Labby!

Yes, that's why I went analog. Keen to see how it holds out. Will let you know

    Good source for PBS cubes?

No I don't think that'll work. That looks like a beam splitter NOT a polarizing beam splitter. Big diffrence. Using that splitter won't combined the beams hence PBS are more expensive than "normal" beam splitters This one will split two 1 watt 445 into two 1000mw beams not ONE 2000mw beam.

    Good source for PBS cubes?

If I were rich there'd be several 40 watt green YAGs on my signature. And a 22 watt white light :) Naw, just been building up the collection for 16 years. I'm a hard core laser nut.

    515nm Diodes

Yes its a joke..... :( I'm sure in the near future it won't be though

    Good source for PBS cubes?

If you look at the picture you can see my PBS attached to the mount

Voltage overhead for 2 x 445 in series

I just realized my 445s may be underpowered..I don't know. Basically, 2 A140s are in series, connected to a Flexmod P3, running at 1.4A 18V(regulated). They outputing about 890mW each. Shouldn't they be closer to 1200mW. Is the voltage too low to carry this current taking into account the...

    Good source for PBS cubes?

I bought a coated PBS from Crylight for $50....10x10x10 Good product. No issues Oh and if you do go this route I highly recommend you get a Newport type mount to attach the PBS. It can be a pain to align the two axises without a good commerial optic mount. I just glued the PBS directly to the...

My new DHOM 532 >1W Labby!

Just got an email back from them at Meierlight. They guaranteed 1600-1700mW for $850.....That's nice power. Going to order one UPDATE: Just bought one....will let you know output when it arrives.

My new DHOM 532 >1W Labby!

Do you think 1.8W was the luck of the draw? I'd be sooo happy with that output!! Would be awesome if you could capture more beam shots :) :)

My new DHOM 532 >1W Labby!

@ Jefferythe00 Wow, I'm just about to order one of those too. They wanted $800 free shipping. Do you know if it is TEC cooled. I suppose it has to be but the head does look small. They told me the green laser will do at least 1300mw. I just bought a 650 1000mW from Meierlight. There...
