Review of the Directly-Injected 505nm Bluish-Green ("Mint Green") Laser Pen

I'd not noticed the cell dimensions- very nice indeed!!

Review of the Directly-Injected 505nm Bluish-Green ("Mint Green") Laser Pen

It took 2 days to get all the way to CA which was fine. Is the 10 AMP higher than average? It's listed on the Orbitronic label/ 1500? I'm not willing to believe that unless someone like you TESTS it. Still not as wild as the 50Watt Gatling Laser-for $600! :-)

Sanwu Challenger II 520 nm 1 watt impressions

Hi Paul- I did! And gave your Olde Timey REP! Very nice indeed. I'm sure you're getting a few hundred more mW and doubtless a longer run time. QUOTE="paul1598419, post: 1546520, member: 40752"]Did you get a chance to see my review of my new 520nm 1100 mW green laser build? It likely uses the...

Sanwu Challenger II 520 nm 1 watt impressions

Yes the 1W 520 beam is epic! And it will easily burn letters into wood. I'll have to try the Folgers lid. Good customer service from Jet!- and 3 watts should do wonders. I'm thinking white paper reflects too much energy. 3Watts of 465 should make for a pretty beam!

    SanWu 1 watt 520 nm Multimode-18650 Protected-too long-resolution

So I've discovered! So now I have Unprotected 18650, and two versions of Protected 18650 as well as 18340 and 18350. So I SHOULD be good when the 505 Waterproof arrives-one of those types should work!

Review of the Directly-Injected 505nm Bluish-Green ("Mint Green") Laser Pen

I started buying from Orbotronic at the recommendation of SanWu as their Protected 18650 3500 mAh 10 amp batteries are just the right length for the SamWu Challenger II to enable the function of the end cap switch to change modes. So far they behave the same as the NiteCore version in...

Sanwu Challenger II 520 nm 1 watt impressions

I tried writing on wood with my 1Watt 520 nm -pretty easy. I was pleased to see the 150 mW Sanwu 492 would also write on wood-although more slowly.I have YET to pop any balloons or cut electrical tape. :-) I do love the colors!

    MS-SSW-II / NDG7475 Build Review

Thanks for sharing your work! I'm not sure why-but I do like the 520 nm color over the 532 nm.

Review of the Directly-Injected 488nm Greenish-Blue Laser Pen

Very nice! When did you order? I ordered the 505 from the same source and they say Oct 2- Nov 2 for arrival. I hope the hurricane does not hit you too hard-stay safe. Lasers in the rain! I'll bet it makes for fun beam shots. I just charged up my first of those Orbtronics. Do the spots look...

Review of the Directly-Injected 505nm Bluish-Green ("Mint Green") Laser Pen

Re: Review of the Directly-Injected 505nm Bluish-Green ("Mint Green") Laser Pen HAHA! Wow! I have a 465 nm on order myself-although not as powerful. Good luck with the Coffee container. :-) I was going for color and visibility-but 2W might take awhile to vanquish a coffee container. And I've...

What a cheap laser can do, Beware!

Thanks! I wondered why it was cheaper to make over spec than actual "safer" 532 nm. I've mentioned that I bought from Laserlands for a presentation pointer-opting for a 505 nm-for color-and because it's NOT DPSS. + REP if I can give it. QUOTE=WizardG;1546246]From the manufacturer's point of...

Review of the Directly-Injected 505nm Bluish-Green ("Mint Green") Laser Pen

Re: Review of the Directly-Injected 505nm Bluish-Green ("Mint Green") Laser Pen Thanks Cistercian! + Rep Ordered the 505 on EBAY from BeamQ. Says It will arrive in October sometime. I'd get a 488 as well but I already have the "490" from SanWu. I do love the colors. Look forward to seeing...

    Sanwu RGB review

Lewdude! HAHA!! Arcticdude: the diffraction grating shots and the lower angle with the reflection-and lit up lake underneath are breathtaking! WOW! + REP if you can still accept more. :-)

    SanWu 1 watt 520 nm Multimode-18650 Protected-too long-resolution

Thanks Gazen, So I learned! Just luck of the draw that the Nitecore was a few mm too long. I did research to get quality batteries (originally had UltraFire and something called Garberial) but did not find anything relating to the correct brand of Protected 18650 for the Challenger 2. Maybe I...

What a cheap laser can do, Beware!

Hi WizardG I also grew up in the boonies-the Sierra. I was taught respect and gun safety from an early age-never point at any one at any time, keep the safety on-don't shoot at rocks-etc. I was plinking with a single shot 22 at age 11 with 22 shorts. Then it was clean the rifle. I had a hill to...

    SanWu 1 watt 520 nm Multimode-18650 Protected-too long-resolution

A great product indeed! Working nicely. This is really a heads up for anyone having issues with switching modes on the Challenger 2. Luckily SanWu has excellent Customer service. Thanks Francis! Li ion batteries- no prior exposure. I learned that the Lithium ion batteries are named by...

What a cheap laser can do, Beware!

Sounds about right Benm! I grew up in the forest-and we played with lots of things that had some danger attached. I think you went a little farther into danger than I did. My craziest was prying the slug off of bullets-and burning the gunpowder (nowhere near intact bullets)- always on dry clay...

Review of the Directly-Injected 505nm Bluish-Green ("Mint Green") Laser Pen

Re: Review of the Directly-Injected 505nm Bluish-Green ("Mint Green") Laser Pen Thanks Cisterician (Plus Rep) When I try to buy it wants me to log in- Firefox tells me it's NOT SECURE. So I guess I'll keep my eyes on EBAY and see if it pops up again. I appreciate the link. I see also 100 mW 505...
