Review of the Sanwu Challenger II- 465 nm 2 Watt multimode

Thanks Paul! Wow. 2.8AMPS! I don't know how to multiquote-so I'm doing it cut and paste. "Congratulations on your new laser. Looks like it has an NDB7675 diode in it. I need to build the two I have in my queue. These have been over driven to get higher wavelengths, but lower power. Some have...

    Review: 2W 405 by thanhtung

HAha! I think it was fat. Not long before I had swarms of earwigs under my plant pots. Then I had FAT scorpions. Five plant pots- 5 scorpions. All FAT. No earwigs! I brought a few into work (I'm a scientist in biotech) to light up with my black light flashlight. I had a range of responses-from...

    Review: 2W 405 by thanhtung

RA_Pierce! I LOVE your review-for a "host" of reasons. Firstly, a very fine Laser review, including some humor "We are all attracted to this hobby because of the coolness of lasers...we like being able to say, "look at this cool thing I made!" to people that couldn't care less, and we like...

Review of the Sanwu Challenger II- 465 nm 2 Watt multimode

It arrived today! So in went an Orbitronic 18650 Protected battery. It started in 1 mW mode. I was able to switch it to half and full power easily with tail switch half presses. This switching requires a protected 18650 within a certain range of length. I've written elsewhere about that- so I...

    WTB yellow laser

Oooh! I second Polonium's request. I did look through your laser pics. Nice. I do like the RGB types!

    Returning after half a decade.

I'd welcome you back-but that would be presumptuous of me after 3 months. I do like the science of how lasers work and their uses. I imagine there are numerous new diode and DPSS lasers around in the last 5 years. I'm looking forward to a portable 577 nm at some point. I've yet to pop a...

    Kinda interesting

Divergence is going to be critical. At what distance? It seems a little far fetched,

Review of the Directly-Injected 505nm Bluish-Green ("Mint Green") Laser Pen

Very good! Just say NO to Crapfire. :-) For some reason I thought it was running on a single 18650. I have a few Nitecore 18350 in case my 505 needs them. I just got my 2W 465 nm. Very bright! I opted for 3 power settings- 1mW, 1000 mW, 2000 mW, SOS, Strobe (don't need the last two functions)...

Hello from China--Thanks all for this great forum

Ah! That's too bad! I got lucky and they came directly.

    some "new" pics 9/15/18

Thanks Brucemir One careful beam at a time. So you DO have a special room. I can imagine making a black box to do some of this on a small scale. Sorry you lost your cylinder! I'm playing with the RGB X cubes I got (see new threads). I have a < 5mW LaserLands 505 nm that I am using to scope out...

XCUBES & XKUBES Prisms , optics, crystal balls and new member

Thanks Paul-now I can do some reading on them to figure out if I want some! :-)

    some "new" pics 9/15/18

Amazing and beautiful-I can only imagine what they look like in person! One question -given the broad range of colors-what sort of goggles do you wear? With so many opportunities for a reflection as you are setting up-I'm curious! Thanks.

XCUBES & XKUBES Prisms , optics, crystal balls and new member

Hi-I posted in his intro thread- I got two : Arrived at LEAST double packed-very secure! With a nice thank you. II don't actually-yet-know what the PBS refers to. I think they are RGB splitters- I can't see any flaws-very nice! I ordered a 10cm sphere as well. Ordered Sep1 and arrived Sep19...

Hello from China--Thanks all for this great forum

Alan and Lin Tian, Welcome! And I just got a package from you with a few very nice prisms- and a magnifier surprise. Very well wrapped and a very nice note. :-)

The best chance to get real 1w green laser.

My SanWu Challenger2 1 Watt 520 can be focused (close up) into a tiny spot-I was writing in wood yesterday. I do have the beam expander-not tried spot on cloud deck-as I am in a city-might give that a try in country. As mentioned by others-the beam spot is quite large at distance. I'd be happy...

Review of the Directly-Injected 488nm Greenish-Blue Laser Pen

Nice! I like the colors too. I've a 492. Now I want a 488! And of course the 505 is on it's way. So far-not a single red. I'm leaning towards 635-638 nm. Not everyone goes "oooooh" the way we do. :-) Too bad about Rep. I did "like" your post.

Review of the Directly-Injected 505nm Bluish-Green ("Mint Green") Laser Pen

I have some ULTRAfire and Trustfire batteries that came with devices. They live up to your name for them in every respect! One lasted less than 3 charge cycles!

    SanWu 1 watt 520 nm Multimode-18650 Protected-too long-resolution

It came with a Laser 303. Very exciting! They also sell 6000 mAh 18650's. Amazing 1 star reviews on Amazon. One guy tested and got 1000 mAh. Another said- "Good news! Since they last half as long as his other batteries-my (his) other batteries must be 12000 mAh!" Crapfire indeed! I have two...
