    Sale thread/ Hosts/Heat Sinks/Focus adapters/lasers

Ah, I see. That's a great looking host. That opens me up to send Lifetime a PM about the skinny copper host in post #231.

    Sale thread/ Hosts/Heat Sinks/Focus adapters/lasers

Are you buying both of them? I am interested in a thin copper pen like that, though really just for the host. I have enough 520s. Will you be making more in similar styles, Lifetime?

    Collection of Laser Die/Emitter Photos

Awesome close ups. I've never been able to get anything THAT close, but here's one I took with a cell phone camera of a no-can NUBM07E: He looks so happy to be a diode!

    Signature Curious??

I definitely like it better now than when I was using "dark teal" or whatever. And I agree, the slight color graduations are exactly the thing you need to represent full-saturation rainbow colors.

All SOLD Thanks for your interest!

Re: 10 well priced lasers SALE What diode is in number 6, and which size battery does it take? Honestly I'm more drawn to the form factor than the diode, but it is probably worth it.

    Signature Curious??

Thanks a bunch! Now that won't be bothering me.

    Signature Curious??

I'm not worried about finding the color for a specific wavelength. What I haven't been able to do yet is put in an exact color. I have so far had to use the color choices available in the vBulletin editor. Do you use a html tag to color it? If so, could you give me an example of a way that works...

    Signature Curious??

I certainly have had trouble finding ways to make my laser wavelengths different colors, and still have readability. It would be great if we had rgb hexcode support or something. This would be one of the better uses of it, on the most wavelength-distinguishing forum. I look for anything...

    505nm and 480nm diode RESULTS

If I were using TECs to get a wavelength shift, I would be most worried about condensation. Could you link to the paper you mentioned on the topic? I would like to try cooling one of these, but I I don't want dew or frost.

    <505nm Laser driver

I recently built my SB1573N91, and I used the Survival Laser Blitz Linear driver. It's giving me about 90mW at 250mA, and that is at a Vf a bit over 6V. It works great, but I will warn you, it can be tricky to solder because of the size. For example, you will need to bridge the LO mode pads...

    505nm and 480nm diode RESULTS

The ones that DTR has are the SB147EC91, and they are close to 510nm.

    WTB <505nm batch diode - SB1573N91, SB1473N91

I received the first of the three diodes I ordered today, and will be getting the others tomorrow. It was a SB1573N91, and is indeed slightly more blue than my SB147EC91 from DTR. I'll try to do some diffraction grating measurement when I find some time to get an idea on what the difference is...

    Copper Pen Host...

That's a fine piece of craftsmanship there. When can we be seeing these for sale? :D

    WTB <505nm batch diode - SB1573N91, SB1473N91

Wow, glad I bought a few when I could, with one out of stock and one tripling the price. Mine have already shipped, so I'm unsure what is going on with the stock on the page. Did techhood mention anything about the number on the batch he will be receiving?

    WTB <505nm batch diode - SB1573N91, SB1473N91

I've gotten word that they shipped. They're taking the slow boat from China, so it may be a little bit before they get here. I'm glad I got in before Existotem raised their price. I'll let y'all know when they get here - hopefully soon because I want to make some teal photons already!

Surefire X400 vs Sharp 505 vs mL argon. Pics!

I recently asked this, and was directed to Newgazer, Existotem, and Techhood on ebay. I ordered one from each, but it will be a while before they get here and I can measure them. By then, who knows if they will be selling from the same batch. Unless you get lucky and a forum member has a surplus...

    Sharp 505nm

I'm enjoying my ~510nm DTR modules. It is a pretty color indeed, but my camera captures the blue in it TOO well and I end up with a picture that looks more like 490nm. Definitely a good one to own if you have a 532nm and want variety. It's pretty close to the eye to the existing 520nm diodes...

    WTB <505nm batch diode - SB1573N91, SB1473N91

I grabbed one each from Existotem, Newgazer, and Techhood. Hopefully they are all legit and I will have some to choose from. I don't have a spectrometer to check them and put a number on it, but I have some of the SB147EC91's and diffraction gratings. I can look at the printed number on each...

    WTB <505nm batch diode - SB1573N91, SB1473N91

That's what I feared. I suppose it's possible that other people in the community have one they would be willing to sell. I'm basically putting a cash bounty on finding one. I'll have to negotiate it with whomever has it, because they will be at different levels of "attachment" to it. Somewhere...

    WTB <505nm batch diode - SB1573N91, SB1473N91

I am looking for a source of the low-wavelength batch(es) of the recent 505nm diode. I have a couple from DTR's batch (SB147EC91) which run at about 510nm, but would like to find a couple of the earlier ones floating around which ran lower. This would be -correct me if I'm wrong- the case...
