Hi Bob, Yes please ship the lenses. No hurry anyway.

Why are pictures so small? I see nothing. Also a description would do good to this topic!

    CLens GB #2 Interest_sign-up

Hi Bob and this GB members, Last week I finally received the shippings from DTR (this one took 2 months to arrive to Spain) and from some other US vendors. It looks that the post delivery is working again. It could now be time to release my 10 sets. I would like to ask those GB participants...

    Nichia nubm07e from Germany

Hi, I am in Spain and have some 05, 06 an 08 purchased from DTR in Cu modules only to check the beam profiles. Some with G-ball, some without. Those I could give away for free. Sorry, no spare 07, both of them are in the set up (combined with two 08 into a single 20w beam). Yesterday I received...

    NUBM31T 95W 455nm

From my memory the rates from US have been like this before. The issue today is not the price but the fact that at the end I have received all stuff purchased since March from China on ali and ebay but 50% of purchases from US did not arrive yet or are lost. Maybe they were shipped back by...

    NUBM31T 95W 455nm

OK, after many months of waiting I received some pieces to make a thing like Styropyro made but with a little different design. In his videos he gives no numbers, so I had to buy this Falcon radar body just to mesure its internal dimentions. Bad that it was only available from USA with expensive...

    Nichia NUBM34T 115W 455nm

Hi tedcs, Did you have the chance to mesure what I have asked before? I mean distances f3 (in horizontal and vertical dimension) at my hand made picture in post 23 of this thread?

    NUBM31T 95W 455nm

Hi Farbe2, Yes let's leave movies fo YT actors like styropiro. For a researcher a row of pictures (slides) is as informative as movie. If the picures show numbers. Could you please post pictures of the spot from your NUBM31 array on the piece of millimeter paper (or just paper with centimeter...

    Nichia NUBM34T 115W 455nm

Yes, a specifically protected driver is needed for laser diodes but to my IMHO understanding of the current situation those drivers ony exist for single diodes and do not output high voltages when I want to combine several diodes in series. Second point - if any voltage spike happens in a...

Why this trouble with fuses? Buy a decent CC driver, connect all rows in series et voila...

    Nichia NUBM34T 115W 455nm

Hi tedcs, You said that lasing starts at 430mA? This looks like with nubm08/44. Strange that with china made Osram chip I found that 200mA was enough to reach the lasing threshold. Maybe chinese make a different dye, not one the japanese do??? BTW one guy from my organic chemistry course did a...

    Nichia NUBM34T 115W 455nm GB.....Who wants to " Do the DEW " ???

RC, Styro purchased his array in 2019 when no 34T (24 beams) was still available, so he only could have bought 31T (with 20 beams) back then. About GB feeler: I would wait until more models come to light, now a new model seem to appear on ebay every month, otherwise we could be in a situation...

    Nichia NUBM34T 115W 455nm

30 bucks optics for someone who was already able to pay 400 for the laser source? 115W? Hold me, I am dizzy. Yes, this will to some extent work at the end but sorry, Bob, to remind you about 2 things: -24 diverging beams will stay 24 (less diverging) beams with huge gaps between and not one...

Do not be lazy guys! Show all you approaches to be understandable for an engineer - with all optomechanics, holders, adjustment capabilities, dimentions... Not just spot shape. Do we speak about patents and hide details here? And... after knife edging will the fast axis divergence will be...

    Nichia NUBM34T 115W 455nm

Hi Bob, It would help if you show the dimentions of telescope which you think would work. I was thinking to put cylindricals in front of Osram chip. The problem was that Thor did not have cylindricals big enough for such purpose. And LD raws looking at sightly different directions. On my...

    Nichia NUBM34T 115W 455nm

What do you mean by 63mm? If separation between 1st and 6th beam is 14mm, then to my eye the edges already touch each other at 31mm from surface (where number 125 is on the scale). Was this divergence image done with ou without gang lens? Edit: OK, I see it was raw output with gang lens removed.

    Nichia NUBM34T 115W 455nm

Thank you for measuring, Tedcs. 18x14 mm is exactly as it was on the spec sheet of 31T. So it means that thinner lenses for 34T have to be <2.8mm wide. Maybe better to do it with 31T where just <3.5mm would be fine. Could you also evaluate the focal distances needed for such lenses? These would...

    Nichia NUBM34T 115W 455nm

Tedcs, do you have the spec sheet, are the dimentions of 34T same as of 31T? You are right about diversity - nothing is perfect in life, but 20% of effort could be enough to deliver 80% of yield. The intended purpose of all N. blocks seems to me to be focused at little inches to pump phosphor...

    Nichia NUBM34T 115W 455nm

Hi Bob, Yes these new multiemitters from Nichia are totally different from single diodes what we have been correcting all the time, so a way to shape the "beam" has to be totally new and different as well I think. My approach was to avoid using mirors etc. for each of 24 beams, but use just 10...
