    [REVIEW] Survival Lasers I 445nm 1.2 Watt

Re: [REVIEW] Survival Lasers I 445nm 1.1 Watt Thanks! I don't mind the branding, as I think it's fine. Sorry, I don't have a LPM, but Garoq claims to test all diodes before packaging to +/-100mw of 1100mw. From using it, I'd estimate that is correct. It's quite a nice laser!

    [REVIEW] Survival Lasers I 445nm 1.2 Watt

Re: [REVIEW] Survival Lasers I 445nm 1.1 Watt True, true... I ordered the extended focus ring yesterday, just saying that the stock one is a little short. I was just trying to find anything to put as a con, as there's not much bad about this laser. Safety-wise, I'm fine with this, but it's a...

    What is wrong with people!?

I'd put it down mostly to /b/, it's a established (and stupid) "prank". For the uninitiated, /b/ is "The asshole of the Internet" according to Gawker, and I'd say that is a very accurate description.

    Stupid Teenagers with lasers

I'd just like to mention that not all teens are irresponsible with lasers, although I am sorry to say that, at 16, I cannot trust my peers with even my 1mw pointer (and they will never even see my 1.1W one). Let's look at the facts. Debit card/PayPal? Easy to get, I got my debit card + bank...

1-1.3 watt 445nm Laser Packages **ONLY $190 SHIPPED IN THE US**

Just wanted to mention that I got the laser, and it's 5/5 stars easily, GREAT design, sturdy, etc. I'll most likely write a review later, but I'm taking it easy, safety being #1 so I'm keeping that in mind . Anyways, Garoq/Survival Lasers is great, I love the customer service, and the...

    Green Vs Blue (price PoV)

The 445nm ones are so cheap because a certain company that shall remain unmentioned due to legal issues needed them for a product of theirs, and since they needed them cheap, they got them cheap. (They had to be very affordable in order to be put to the use said company needed them for). This...

Post Pictures|Videos | of stupid people with laser pointers.

Wow, I'm thinking IQ tests might be needed before selling lasers to certain people :wtf:. How stupid can people get?

Final Destintation 5 - Laser scene WTF

I'm sure that they meant 5 watts, not 5 mW, right? /sarcasm Wouldn't it take 100+ Watts to cause that much damage? Burning holes in flesh?
  13. JohnTheRipper

Ok , pretend i know nothing

You should also read up on safety (VERY important!!), and make sure to get at least 1 pair of 532nm goggles (assuming you choose a IR filtered greenie). And remember, anything over 5mw can destroy human or animal eyes if not used with caution, so PLEASE read up on safety and don't shine it...

Any good tips on how to handle class IV (445nm 1W) laser light safely?

Meatball-- Yeah, the machine gun image is what I was guessing... I hope I don't end up with burn marks all over my walls :). And yes, I understand that it's nowhere near a toy, and should be treated like a loaded and constantly firing firearm. jcranmer-- Thanks for the tip, I got this, which...

Any good tips on how to handle class IV (445nm 1W) laser light safely?

I recently bought a class IV 1W handheld laser kit from survival lasers, and while I am waiting for it to arrive I might as well as if anyone has any good and/or little known info on how to handle 445nm 1 watt lasers safely? This is my first "big" laser, and I really want to make sure I do...

    Yob or Survival

@Opentoe: I just ordered from Survival Lasers, I am waiting for the laser to arrive, but so far so good... I like the semi-DIY aspect, but Yob was my other option, and honestly the reason I choose Survival was because of the options and accessories, plus the fact that I'll get to put it together...

1-1.3 watt 445nm Laser Packages **ONLY $190 SHIPPED IN THE US**

I see, thanks. Alright, so I have a few questions... 1. What are some good, cheap safety goggles (under $40 shipped, the cheaper the better), that I can get shipped to the USA in a timely manner? Preferably as cheap as possible so I can buy multiple pairs (if it's too high, then I'll just buy...
