    Pulse tragedy

One person... Nope, it was 3. The mass media isn't covering what the people who were there are actually saying. Multiple interviews with patrons of the establishment state that they heard multiple guns, at least two. The description on how one of the guns was firing was like the rolling R sound...

    There once was a thread....

I'd want the thread there just for historical purposes, if it wasn't new, it still might let someone else know it exists that had not known prior. Someone can correct the thread in the comments. I appreciate you wanting to keep the forum clean though.

XPL discussion - the mystery company

Re: XPL discussion - "the miracle company" Sta - one last inquiry please. Would they consider a low powered 638nm (anywhere from 5mw - 20mw) and a low powered 515nm or 520nm (5mw-20mw) RG:Y unit?. If they happen to stock these diodes. Just a thought. Sorry for the multiple questions, I thought...

    Are diode lasers real lasers?

I want to thank you all for the brief education. I didn't quite understand it, i've read it before but never was it explained like I'm 5. Thank you for that.

XPL discussion - the mystery company

Re: XPL discussion - "the miracle company" Count me in for a RG:Y with no accessories. If you have the ability to contact then, can you ask if they are able to lower the power below 100mw? I would be happy with it either way, but I would prefer a 20mw max.

    473nm or 589nm diode?

I'm not sure how anyone could/would choose anything but 589nm.

    GearBest Give Away

The first item I saw on the sale was the FIREFLY 6S 4K WiFi Sport HD DV Camera-89.30 and Free Shipping| GearBest.com I would love to have that. Gearbest is great, I have purchased from them twice and had an excellent experience. I almost purchased a 3d printer from them. I have the confidence...

    Laser for scaring away seagulls

You are better off with an air gun from what I have read. Birds see lasers kinda like a stick being waved around. They also eventually learn that it won't hit them. I would also advise against pointing lasers at any living thing... just a thought. I mean it is only a bird... but still. EDIT...

Heat Sinks for 3D printed Hosts

Being that most of my builds are not designed around super-powerful lasers; I don't think I'll be generating a terrible amount of heat. I do plan to experiment though.

    Anyone Spectro'd PLT5-510 ?

Has anyone spectro'd the PLT5-510? I was wondering if it was ran at 5mw if it would shift down to 510nm? I didn't know about this diode until I saw Syko had one - Kudos to him. I have not found a good source yet. I did find this if anyone wants to wait 12 weeks...

3D Printer - Anyone Have one?

My plan was to print out the calibration parts I found on youtube. I think the guy Hibosen or something like that has a bunch of videos on the exact printer I bought and he has some useful links to other users on Youtube with useful calibration tools. As I go through them I will try to...

In a pickle, car pickle. Help!?!

Hap, You seem like a pretty smart dude. Do you have any skills as a mechanic? Have you tried? I ask this because I hate to see people renting cars. It doesn't sit well with me. That is my personal opinion. You never get to own it. That may be ok for you. I am not comfortable with it. It is...

Trade - 18650's Laptop Pulls for Driver

Different Battery Packs. I was just showing the different types I got. VirtueViolator - Let me make sure I can use it, I have a 685nm and a 445nm diode that need drivers. I can't remember the mA but I'm pretty sure I need very low mA. They are not high powered diodes. I'd like to put the 445nm...

Heat Sinks for 3D printed Hosts

Thanks for the heads up! I appreciate it. I am just now getting into it. I expect there to be a pretty hefty learning curve. I will look into metalfill but I bought a bottom end 3d printer, not sure I can print with that yet.
