garbage thread
Unless there's something I'm missing, I can't hard-deleted posts. Instead of soft deleting all the useless banter posts and having "post deleted by ep" for every message, moving them here makes them disappear. If this thread gets too "full" it can be pruned.
Try a tap instead of single-point on those small tubes next time Billy, problem solved. ;)
Sounds like a bit of a miscommunication in this thread. Billy, I don't see a reason for you to be upset, especially if Sta is keeping the laser and satisfied with it.
Yep, that's right, I've never ate food or even breathed through my mouth either. A real tragedy.
Seriously though, I'm sure I've had a couple or so but it hasn't been for a long time. I get a really nice insurance coverage so I get a cleaning/treatment every 6 months.
Re: FS: [NEW!] Custom machined laser hosts
All sold and copper-bronze has been reserved and pending payment. Will have a more in a few weeks or so. :thanks:
Here are the listings I bought from:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4pcs-3-7v-ICR-10180-rechargeable-lithium-ion-battery-cell-100MAH-for-LED-flashlight-torch-and/32803709579.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.5aJT85...
^Yep, I can't get over the fact that a handful of people spend hundreds on a toothbrush. Always a "manual" user, haven't had a cavity or anything wrong for as long as I can remember.
Oh yea, I can attest to the Samsung supremacy. Everything I capture with my Galaxy Note 5 always turns out great, from landscape shots to macro shots. All my laser pics are taken with my phone too, including the hosts on my FS thread. :D
^ What BTG said, liking the mini Hugsby!
Where did you get that 10280? I ordered some 10180s and 10280s on aliexpress a couple weeks ago, maybe we bought from the same listing.
RB, you should consider writing a thread in the "member collections" sub-forum, I can bet that you'd have a willing audience and maybe some drooling :p
Seeing these 520nm builds is really making me want to make one myself, Ped's was pretty nice too!!
Looking good Jeff nice read, and great building tactics as always.
Re: Tutorial - How to clean & 'varnish' a Copper Host for a permanent beautiful finis
Very nice Andrew, definitely going to try this some time. Did you just do one coat of the lacquer? Was the coating light or heavy?
Re: FS: [NEW!] Custom machined laser hosts
Thanks to everyone, and for the +reps. :D
@Bob, it takes 2*18650s.
@Alaskan, you're pushing it  if you're really interested, feel free to PM me and I'll see what I can do.
Thanks for the info Paul, good to know...
@Accutronitis, is there anything to prove Paul wrong? As for quality, I've seen both synthetic and real, and haven't seen a difference in quality. Visual quality, that is.
Welcome to LPF, you can't go wrong with Sanwu. Nothing but excellent construction and quality from them. I'll add to the poll and tell you to get proper goggles, better than losing an eye :D
Glue it to a driver chip and it's perfect!
I was kidding of course, obviously you'd get way more worth from it if you sold it or something. Is it synthetic or real? I wonder if the synthetic diamonds have equally as much thermal conductivity?
