Yeah there's absolutely no way it's going to be 2W with a 3-element. I knew when I saw the speed at which it burnt that paper. Nothing like my 2.1W. Still a high capacity laser in every manner though (heatsink, battery life).

That "swiss cheese" effect you're getting with the lens is in fact dust and/or residue. I've solved this problem by simplying removing the retaining ring on the G-2, and cleaning the lens with a microfiber cloth and some aerosol spray at the end to remove the dust without contact with more dust...

Interesting, I wonder if this could be true for other hosts like the C6 & SL-SS as well. I see there is some extra room, not sure if it's big enough though.
