Yeah. My stinger pens compose of the ebay pens (as the stinger pens are highly modified ebay pens). I'll make a thread when I get my big order in (will probably consist of 30 pens :P)

I re read it and if you can see a beam at all then it's overspec. Got in 6 ebay pens today (stinger pen to be) and the beam on the reds is easy to see making them WAY overspec. Pointers for days...

Smoking cigs? Not to be a Debbie downer but cigarets have been found to contain arsenics, polonium-210, and other HARMFUL chemicals. Not a big fan of smoking. But you are your own person and I respect you either way. Waiting to get some more lasers (only days away :D) in order to update this...

hmmmm ill check in the morning. sort of tired now. vision tunneling... anyway ive found CNI resellers that are decent. my 405 in my sig was metered at 111mw and is an aliexpress champ. just dont expect cheap exotic pens. last 589 i saw was EXPENSIVE!

the host head is a heatsink... sorta hard to fit a heatsink in a heatsink (unless its a heatsinkception) will be a cool build when done. keep us updated :beer:

aliexpress has nice stuff you just need to look for it. and greenlander, stop with the reputable shops thing. if we never first dip our toes in the water we would never be able to swim.

we all know plane shining is bad but i seriously doubt if it hit a plane the pilot would instantly know who hit him and where its from. "its from that forrest! must be John Doe again!"

my first build was a violet in a project box. worse damn thing ever. its gone now. one day while sitting around i decided to take it apart. lost the module and so its gone forever. Oh well.

What are the planned uses of such device? Power affect brightness and so in bright sunlight probably won't work.

Yeah I got "lucky" months back with an ebay pen that's beam is visible in the day. I don't know for sure but aren't squirrels scared of lasers? Some birds are but I don't know about lasers.
