fwiw, we'll have LEDs pre-reflowed for sale soon. They won't be hand soldered, but reflowed on a proper SMT line.

    What camera do YOU use?

I saw a prototype get fried at a LEM. Good times. They're quirky and IMO not worth the pricing until technology moves along to much much higher resolution sensors. ...fog machine? that, and any camera that has a manual mode. Long shutter speeds will be your friend, a tripod too.

    What camera do YOU use?

5D3 with a few lenses. Though.. the title of this thread and the body of this thread are asking different things. If you're on a budget it'll be difficult to shoot macro with a DSLR, unless you get a mount a reversed prime to a zoom.

Not laser related, as it seems many of my posts are. A friend of ours has teamed up with us to make these drives, as we need help to bring them to mass production! Click the pic, it's a kickstarter project ;)

most flashlamp pumped q-switched yags will get in the kilowatt range. when you start applying restrictions it starts getting silly.

    2 Mode Switch Questions

so now the question is - as you said in chat, "The relationship of pulsed brightness to hazard level - is it linear?"

    2 Mode Switch Questions

the main difference between a flashlight driver and a laser driver is that laser drivers takes more care to smooth output spikes. you could potentially add a chip to PWM the output of a laser for modes, but I would not advise that due to the hazard of a pulsed laser having a higher damaged...

    2 Mode Switch Questions

V= IR (voltage = current * resistance) I'm just going to go ahead and say the 18650 is 3.7V and not deal with different voltages at different current :) With the resistor in place, the max current draw by the xboost is .5A. I can't seem to find a datasheet for the xboost or I'd try to figure...

    2 Mode Switch Questions

From the ones I've used it's On, On (routed through the resistor), and Off. I guess the off isn't considered a throw?
