Yeah it was the LCC out of scopes 6X GB a couple weeks ago, working great scope :D

It'll last a long time, the LCC can be driven up to 500mA. If not i can swap it out for a LOC if it ever happens.

Well, you will want a 100 ohm pot at the max, so just choose a trimmer, i like the square 22-turn pots, their small and very precise. That catalog doesn't offer a 100 ohm version though, so check the store and see if they have one, if not just pickup a 100 ohm trimmer.

Well, it doesn't really matter on what batteries you use as long as you meet the 3v requirement for the driver/diode, you won't have as long as a battery life with the AAA's but that's all. You might have more power with the cr123 as it peaks at 4.2v if the driver is one of those Voltage ramp up...
