I could be wrong, but doesn't the spartan come with a single element lens? Because I know the Arctic comes factory with a multi element lens. So in terms of up close burning, that would give the edge to the spartan, would it?

Hey John, that's a good question... However I am Ill equipped to answer that. I am still learning about these diodes myself, not sure about the higher frequency. Maybe someone else here would know that answer?

I believe that the length of the cavity as well has allot to to with the divergence. The longer the cavity the gain medium is in, the less divergence will be. If I remember correctly..:thinking:

That's a very good point Jake! I mean we all have different ideas, and features we would like to see in this new design. However, as was stated, Pontiac is the man who is going to have figure out how to make this happen. I also feel he is doing us a favor by even considering doing this! In short...
