If you want more power, buy more lasers :eg: My first laser was red too, scary as hell because my eyes are really sensitive to red for some reason. I'm glad the seller had the sense to tell me not to burn anything up close without a pair of protective eye-wear. By the way, welcome to the forum ,)

A real on-spec 300mW 532nm in a nice host like that for $130ish? I'd have been all over it. With reasonable divergence of course ,) Sorry it didn't work out, for whatever reason.

Where did you get it? My 50mW chrome host from O-Like heats up fast.

What's your price range? Maybe we can suggest some companies. You can pay anywhere from $70 to $130 for a pen style 100mW depending on the quality your looking for. Personally I would look into Optotronics. -good luck :beer:

Bump because I have one, and it's unbelievable. My 6x GGW puts out somewhere around 250mW. Had it on for 12 minutes straight one time and it was still cool to the touch, so well made.

I think you'll like them a lot, they are very bright....you can see the beam clearly. I've bought three over the past 18 months, they shipped quickly (received within 2-3 weeks). The one thing I have to mention is they heat up VERY fast due to pretty much zero heat-sinking. I suggest 20-30...

You need to be a scientist to develop laser diodes. A realistic career for you involving lasers might involve going to school for dermatology. Then you could shoot lasers at people.
